Camera Ship

So a friend and I were looking to start a news station together. We were looking at the possibility of using the camera ship, but I was looking at the Info Card on the ship and it something similar to this:

"This ship exist outside of RP. This ship is only to be used for the purpose of cinematography. Any other use other than this can have serius reprocussions without special permission."

I was wondering if it would be viable that we use this ship at all? It would be in RP of course cause it is news station, and we will use it to take some screen shots. Does anyone see any problems with us using this ship?

Honestly. When flying my News character I just use a Freighter with no weapons.

Pirates seem to leave you alone that way, and you don't have to worry about "Out of Roleplay repercussions."

i doubt anyone would mind if you used the camera ship, as long as you were not using it to scout for the police and things like that.

We would be using them basically as civilians, and would not support any side of the law.

Edit: It would also be convinient to stay below lvl 30

The problem is the Camera ship a) thrusts above 200 speed and b) is practically impossible to hit. It's hard for a player to force you to go away, ie doesn't want you filming his piracy event.

That would be bit difficult (not supporting that is).. For example, There may be instances when police states
that you must not report this news, but would like to - Maybe RFP might, and I'm sure LPI wouldn't want you filming them taking the occasional doughnut deposit:)
Given this, I feel that you must be in RP at all times, including your ship.

Camera is probably reserved for people wanting to take Universe photos or photos of battles for promotion.

Anyways, we could use the camera ship in RP, the camera ship would be the camera man. I suppose we could have it be that it is always accompanied by a reporter who would be flying a grizzly or something...

You seemed to ignore my comment. The Camera Ship is basically impossible to hit, and difficult to interact with (drive off if they refuse to leave). The infocard states its not used for RP purposes. Roleplay a news team in different ships - ones that can actually be hit.

It seems kind of like godmoding or metagaming to RP in a camera ship, because an element of RP is opposition and resistance.

Wow, now we have people yelling at other people to stop RPing. what a shame.

I will continue to RP in my camera ship (that is under level 30 anyway, so you can't touch him, even if for some reason I was asleep while flying it) until I decide to not RP.

If you don't like me RPing just /ignore it just like you would any other person you didn't want to listen to.
