Out of curiosity, I just want to see what the community's opinion is here.

Personally, I don't think State Police should escort traders beyond where the laws they enforce apply.

EDIT: To clarify, in this poll traders = corporate traders. I.E. LPI escorting Ageria or KSP escorting Kishiro etc.

I believe that Police are responsible for all trading vessels within their borders. Whether it's KSP defending Universal or RFP defending Bowex. Police are there to make sure that civilians are safe.

Yes, Police will escort traders. [ 1 ] ** [25.00%]

I don't want to question anyone, but I don't understand this train of thought. Why would Kusari State Police escort Kishiro traders through Liberty or Rheinland? Why would Liberty Police escort Ageria through Bretonia or Kusari? Enlighten me!

1, 2, 3 for me. Police should escort traders through house space if they ask it, but not out of their jurisdiction.

I'm inclined to agree, with the exception of borderworlds with deals sorted out - such as Magellan and Cortez.

Under line 2, while those two are independant sectors, there's also in game RP and treaties such that the BPA, BAF, LPI, and LN can operate there under a divided responsibility in an attempt to curtail piracy. I'm not saying it's working in any way, but those two systems would be exceptions to question 2, since the police DO have authority there.

An example of where the BPA or RFP would NOT operate would be Omega 3 / Omega 7. However, in those two systems, the BAF and RM COULD operate and escort traders there, since those systems are recognized as being within the military operating area.

Like Zapp said. The LPI will escort in our house space, but that's it, we don't leave house space.

Edit: I will have to look at the Treaty of curacao, I don't believe we were mentioned.

Edit 2: After reading baconsoda, I agree, Special rp events yes, normal practice? prolly not.
