Well, indeed.
I think I brought this up before already, that the government is somewhat corrupt after all, the LPI more prone to underground deals as a npc faction, but between the other factions, like LSF and LN and LR specifically, it seems to be a...well..more or less a cooperation in Liberty.

In general...it might be oorp from one side point, but it IS perfectly understandable when looked at from an RP point of view...

Well, as an example, I shall give you this:

The LR are a fraction of the Rogues, who are a disorganized bunch, consisting of various criminals and petty people, who, after the mass cleansing were so desperate they hooked up with the peeps on Buffalo, or, went Xeno.

But, also, LR are still intelligent enough to know where to strike, what to do, and most importantly, see how to save their asses, by offering alternatives.

Say, the LPI are doing the blockade in Texas...who better to corporate (undercover ofcourse) with than the Rogues, who know ever path a smuggler can take, for those vehicles. We get the money or loot, they have less chance of encountering an escort force, who defend those traders.

Same with the capital ships in New York. Order or Corsair caps come, the LN hook up with the Rogues, LN are heroes to protect the capital, Rogues get whatever they scrape off the wrecks, before fleeing once more.

It's not like the LSF and LN don't know about the Buffalo and Alcatraz bases, but, as a rumor on Missisipi said, the Rogues are indeed useful for the lawfuls.

Everyone knows how much a dessie is to supply...say a Rogue knows, when an outcast has taken too much from their bases to launch attacks on New York..so why not snitch on the guys location to the LN?

They get the fame and credit for destroying a large threat, while the Rogues swoop in and salvage what is left to refuel the bases.

It would really fit the Rogue RP as back stabbing criminals and opportunistic fighters. This all, ofourse, would be secretly in RP and...

Well not to mention, looking from an oorp point of view it would reduce the lolboat activity in NY both lawful and unlawful...would it not? I appreciate what the Admins do for us to save us from those people, but we, commoners have opportunity given to us to do so as well. *points at the RP section* Dont shoot but do it in RP...

So in the end. Rogues DO work with the lawful factions of liberty, some more, some less, as the LN aren't as easy to bribe as the LPI, but believe me, in RP, if you are alone up against two corsair lolboats, you would like some backup, even if its a criminal.

Oh, and as an edit, id like to add, wouldn't it be quite normal for such cooperation? I mean, Traders get attacked, they fear, they do not risk importing goods, lawfuls come, pew pew pew, we, rogues, flee. They get paid by their bosses, they get fame and traders feel protected and come again, and, that means more traders for us rogues. It is a closed circle more or less, don't you think?

Interesting concept. It puts a lot more depth into the current "Cops and Robbers" mind set. I think Xenos are probably likely to do the same also. It's a pity not many LPI like roleplaying corruption, though.

Well and not all should be corrupt. Just saying it is in RP to use your brain, rather than your guns.

The LSF in RP know where our bases are, and the LN know as well, judging from rumors in the SP, so there IS a reason we Rogues aren't dead yet.

I just had an LR- PM me about a Spyglass in Pennsylvania. Is that the sort of under-the-table collaboration you are talking about?

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

That was me, and no, its to prevent possible BSs shooting LN fighters. And not to mention it was in //s
I'd rather gauge my eyes out, than let a possibility of a spyglass shoot lawful fighters in penny.

You looking to take the LR in a new direction? Yes the rogues are useful to us like with the OC dessie yesterday. The LSF are as "corrupt" as they come, withholding information about nomads for instance and denying the existance of alaska and Z21.

Denying the existence of military holdings and holding back information about an alien race is hardly corruption. There are some things the civilians just aren't meant to see, and when their travelling through Nomad infested territory could result in them endangering the human race, I don't see a problem.

Agreement here, Sindy. While regrettably we can't work together as much as at times it would be liked, as long as it's veiled and under the table it should be fine. Crime will always exist, and as such organised crime is much prefferable to disorganised, mindless terrorism and slaughter. At least if somebody's house is robbed you know who to blame, and if it wasn't them then chances are they're pretty pissed themselves at somebody muscling in on their territory.

For the Core.

second) That was a mistake on my part, and one for which I do humbly apologise.
