I want to make a character thats OUTSIDE of liberty but also in an active area, I come to the community to help me out, lawful or unlawful either is good. Also stuck for names

Hmm... BHG? Order (not really)? Nomad Trial? Or a merc, who can really go anywhere. Independant trader, etc. There are heaps of groups that can go through liberty but arn't actually liberty factions.

I recommend a freelancer or merc. The possibility's for those are endless. About the names, I suck at that so I'm no help.

If you follow the steps I lay out here for ya, you (or anyone else for that matter) will need never be stuck again:

1- open a wordpad doc & make 2 columns

2- Think of 2 movies, (or TV shows or books) you really like, but haven't seen in over a year or more

3- Write down the name of your favorite character of one of the movies in one column & your most hated character from the other movie in the second column.

4- List the worst personality traits of your favorite character in column 1 & the best traits of your most hated character in column 2

5- Combine them all together, sprinkle a little bit of you over the top, & poof! you have yourself the beginnings of a 3 dimentional character

6- Stare at the list with disco in mind until the right faction pops into your head...never underestimate how willing your subconcious is to help you out.

As far as names go, I'm not sure what to tell you, character naming is what I torture over the most...I'm just lucky to not completely suck at that part.

Read a nice book. Then combine names of the book. Or throw them around with names of another book/film. That's how i get my names.

I sometimes steal names from people I know, but never complete ones. First name here, last name there.

all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.

I agree on this one,those systems are pretty much always active,especially Gamma I think,every time I log in,there is someone in Gamma.

Ummm, not in my experience, I see tons of GRN's in gallia, and I have seen maybe 3 or 4 brigands, ever. Not only that I see tons of people coming in and making GRN chars, I help a lot of them... What we need is more Maquis, and possibly brigands as well. More Gallic civ's would also be great. Freelancers, mercs, IDF and GMS.

I would also like to say that the RP in gallia is really great. In terms of population it is a little lower on average because it is new and all, but it gets better every day. If you are looking for something a little more liberty like in this regard I would say Bretonia is pretty close.
