"Cutlass" Bomber

Let it just be said that I wasn't satisfied with Eppy' model, and so took it the good old fashioned way; made up my own.

I felt much the same. The Outcasts can have the Falcata if they want, but I won't be flying it. This is how I envisioned the Border World bomber to be, an upscaled version of the Sabre that continues the trend from Dagger>Stiletto>Sabre.

Series CZ "Cutlass" Border Worlds Bomber

With an influx of Capital Class vessels, the men and women of action in the Border Worlds and Edge Worlds required a Ship that could hold its own in the dangerous environment. Boasting more power and armor than the Series Z, and the additional fire power of an extra Torpedo slot, the Cutlass has become the bane of Bounty Hunters and Criminals alike.

I'm sure many people will be concerned with what's the point if we already have the Falcata and the Waran. Others will be quick to say "It just looks like a Sabre with extra bits".
But that's just the point. The Border World series is a progression of ships, the Dagger is the base and the Stiletto and Sabre add more parts on to it. I simply continued the logical trend to create the Cutlass. I don't mean any offence by it, but Eppys' Falcata just doesn't look or feel like a Border Worlds ship. It works perfect for an Outcast bomber, but not a Border World bomber.

That 'headband' looks kinda wierd, I'd put a support in the middle, something like this:

That looks EXCELLENT.

Nice work m8, that one looks like a Sabre on steroids. You're right, the Falcata did seem a tad out of place.

How many engines on that bad boy?

That 'headband' looks kinda wierd, I'd put a support in the middle, something like this:

The area where you put those support beams is on top of the doors of the cargo bay, at least on the Vanilla BW ships (I didn't incorporate one into this model since the doors won't open when you eject cargo on a custom ship). If I were to place support beams it would be elsewhere, but I honestly don't think it needs them. That ring would be the kind of thing that would be "destructible" on a Vanilla ship.

Four. All of its' hard points will be the same as the current Falcata.

Epyon's bomber is meant to be an OUTCAST bomber, hence the name of the thread, and the Maltese cross stapled across the front, as well as links to the Gunship. As people've been spraying "Borderworlds =/= Outcast" in several places, the Outcasts have their own shipline now, and it is different.

For the record;
EPYON'S BOMBER IS AN OUTCAST BOMBER, NOT BORDERWORLDS, IT WILL NOT REPLACE THE FALCATA.

EDIT: The Falcata will become a Borderworlds ship.

As for the Sabre with "bits", well, the idea itself wasn't a problem, just the execution, presuming you're referring to Xing/Yue Fei's ship.

It doesn't look like a "pimped" Sabre, it looks like an upgraded Sabre, this seems to have less un-necessary changes, apologise if this has caused any offense, Xing.

Also, for the record;
I LIKE IT, I THINK IT WILL MAKE A GOOD FALCATA REPLACEMENT.

Manoeuvrability will depend on the size of the ship, most likely. I estimate it will be roughly the same as the Falcata, though. But I'm not sure how the Falcata scales up next to this ship, I should get a comparison done.

i m not certain if we add "new" ships at all anymore. - replaces can/will be done still. - so a ship replacing the falcata would be considered for sure... but a whole new ship is a different thing. so right now, this model is competing with epyons and xings model.

so right now - epyons model replaces the falcata - no matter how it was propagated, the BW ships are trademarks of the outcast alliance. - you won t see a zoner in a sabre docking with crete and get away with it easily.

You're not understanding what Gezza is saying.

He is saying that Eppy's model will not replace the Falcata. The Falcata is a Borderworlds bomber now. Eppy's bomber is an Outcast Bomber. He is replying to this in particular I presume:

No more new ships? Won't that kind of... halt the development of the mod? There are still a few unfinished ship lines and factions that could use their own ships...
If not, what about a replace for the Waran? I believe that is a BW ship too. I dunno if it's an import or not but... it looks like a flying coffin.
