I don't understand. If they used to be independent traders, and were transformed into Interspace, doesn't that make them - Interspace? I understand the part that they must be aligned to an NPC faction, but you can't be aligned with a faction without being related to the faction. I can't make a faction of miners called the Liberty Bounty Hunters Union, as miners aren't Bounty Hunters.

IND may have traders, but it doesn't make them independent traders - they are Interspace Neural Net Division. If they were just independent traders, it would not make any sense for them to have Interspace in the faction name.

That means the IND may smuggle just like other smugglers.

Last I checked ... IND ID lists Outcasts and others as ... ahem ... "enemies." This is specifically indicated in the IND ID infocard.

' Wrote:The IND are not Interspace, that needs to be made clear. When the IND were formed, they were the Independant Traders. Obviously, when the new faction rules came in they couldn't have it, and so Dusty transformed them into the Interspace Neural Net Division.

Basically, the IND have a long standing RP they stick to, and the ID and other things were created to adhere to new server rules, nothing more. For example, the Bretonian Privateers pirate, but to adhere to Server rules they have a BAF tag. I think that makes sense...

Anyway, I have a Liner, and I have great fun having the children hijack it. We have an RP we stick to, and we don't set precedent for the Interspace faction.

I hope that makes sense.
Then where is the IND special role place thread granting them special role play status? Interspace ID states they are "enemy" to Outcast and others. IND wear the Interspace ID. What IND really needs is an "Independent Trader" ID or some other ID to allow them docking rights. But the rules clearly state that you've gotta stick with the RP of the ID ... unless you have special role play declared and accepted by the admins.

Quote: Price: 1000000 - Interspace Neuralnet Division ID
Pilot carrying this ID is employed by Interspace Commerce's neuralnet division, who :
Can trade and escort traders
Can hunt pirates and terrorists within Liberty, or within systems where Interspace has a base, or in self-defense, or to protect another trader.
Can land on unlawful bases
Cannot hunt: Golden Chrysanthemums, Red Hessians, or Unioners
Cannot ally with any unlawfuls
Cannot participate in any unlawful actions except smuggling contraband
Cannot fulfill bounty contracts
Cannot use transports that have more than 4700 cargo
Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, Transports, Liners
Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime. Using player faction
IDs is not allowed for players who are not members of the IND faction and for players who were expelled
from the IND.
Sorry? What ? I think that says IND ID at the top, not Interspace Commerce, but of course at my age,
my eyes do let me down from time to time.
Currently though I think a swap to Zoner Guard might be in our best interests, they to fly big Gunboats,
Cruisers and Battleships, as well as a 5000 cargo hold transport. Seems that ought to be the one having
closer scrutiny. But hey, what do I know ?
Read up before typing in future please, makes you look less of a whiner.

Lawfuls docking on pirate bases and smuggling cardamine etc, Yeah really in RP, I just love the fact its basically an Admin faction so they threw in what they wanted.

Don't start to flame. Yes the ID is a bit unfair, but still to claim it's a lolwut type of thing is bull.
I've been in group with them several times and so far I haven't seen one bit of ooRP (Even marked //) from them.

so your telling me a lawful faction can basically do what they want whenever they want as their ID allows it? it is a lolwutt ID,

But in fairness you are right, They do not go oorp and they are all very good roleplayers, I just think the fact is this

there is a circle in the Disco GC community and if your not in that circle you wont benefit from anything. People in the IND are in the said circle and they get the benefit of having a restrictionless ID,

What Is The Point?

If that wasn't such a childish response, I might have bothered justifying a few things. You just carry on
pew pewing Cosmos.
