Download the 4.85 final version from one of the links you can find in this post: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=39728
In FLMM activate the 4.85 instead of the beta versions.
Have fun!

There is no unzipping when it comes to the Discovery Mod, install with Freelancer Mod Manager 1.3

If you do not use the FLMM, you will not be allowed to play here. Pasting the mod corrupts the files, and
possibly causes server instability. Not very nice if you spoil it for everyone else.

Fellow Hoodlum, I know many people who have encountered issues with the common.dll file. It simply refuses to copy over for some people with FLMM.
All that FLMM does is well, copy and paste. It renames the original files by putting an flmmbak or something similar on the end of their names. When you de-activate a mod, the original files are renamed again back to their original state.

In the end up, it is the exact same as copying and pasting, except some files may be left over etc.
I use FLMM but have had issues like this before and I've found that copying and pasting is no different than letting FLMM do it. The only issue would be the various 'options' that you can choose when you activate the mod, you can't do it that way.

Don't mean to be rude or anything, just trying to help:)

Pasting to the game file without using the Mod Manager, corrupts the file, believe me. The mod is written
to use the FLMM, and our installation instructions are quite clear about it's use as well.
If not, you risk character corruption on your account, which will not be fixed, and can in severe cases,
cause server instability.
You will all use the Mod Manager please, there is no argument. If you are not prepared to do so, do not
ask about problems concerning installation. It is a waste of everyone's valuable time.

And for everyone's future reference, this is Igiss's say on the matter.
