Seriously folks, if any of you havent yet read the Flashman books then I urge you to, they will brighten up your life (and educate you too).

As will 'The Pyrates' by the same author, sheer lunacy but such good fun its criminal.

I'm also reading a fairly odd book called Jpod, it's pretty indescribable and odd

(a computer game graphics desighner with a mother who grows weed and a people-smuggling friend who wears a cowboy hat and spent his schildhood growing up in a lesbian community, who tries to write a letter to make friends with ronald mcdonald, or something like that)

This does not really seem that different than a Mother's book club

Currently reading The Folk of the Fringe by Orson Scott Card, its a departure from the Ender's game series for anyoine familiar, and I would suggest it.

I'm working on one now called "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance," but don't let the title fool you, motorcycle maintenance is only a vehicle (so to speak) for the philosophy of the book.

I also suggest "Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand. I'd suggest "Atlas Shrugged" too, but it's... not for everyone. Fountainhead is an excellent alternative.

I'm gonna have to disagree here. Dont read the prequels by Brian Herbert, just dont. Start with the original series by Frank Herbert, then read the end of that series written by Brian based off of the notes and outlines written by Frank. The prequels and the stories of the Butlerian Jihad where based off of much less fleshed out not by Frank and the quality suffers as a result. If you really like the original series then go back and read these if you are interested, but I have heard far to many tales of people who started by reading the prequels and were turned off by them to recommend reading them in that order.

I'm currently reading The Lord of the Rings and Tom Clancy's Rainbox Six. I'm also trying to restrain from killing the girl I like for liking Twilight.

I've started reading Twilight, only because a friend practically ordered me to, and I've never been good at refusing a girl's request. Anyway, made it to page 61, so far so good, it's actually quite good.
