This is about the new QCP role-play that involved Zoners getting shot at and in return they received an unfair punishment based on out of role-play complaints for having no logical reason attack the Zoners in the first place. They always had one and I hope the admins are finally starting to realize their reasons for attacking.

Firstly, I would like to say that I love the Privateer roleplay and don't want that to go away. I'm sure many people here, Blunt, feel the same and would donate to help your faction.

Secondly, I'm going to be frank and say the primary reason I have for thinking the QCP OORP when they go to Omega 49, is the whole point of the faction. Yes, the QCP has nothing inherently symbiotic about Kusari. But I feel like a ZOI barrier has been broken. Pirates have more authority and more power in an area than lawfuls precisely because they are acting outside of the law. We, as a community, restrict these pirates to specific areas, because we feel that a Molly in Rhienland, or a Corsair in Liberty to be powergaming. A pirate or privateer has the right to demand cargo from a trader, stop contraband and fight the enemy. You are essentially replacing the police and military with an overarching faction.

This was my whole point when I accidentally gave advice to LeMaitre. The Privateers were made to interdict KUSARI shipments and roleplay in Kusari. I know it's out of date, but if you look at the BAF faction status, you'll see that the Privateer ZOI used to spread around Kusari and somewhat into the Sigmas and not Bretonia. I feel like that's the source of my discontent. Suddenly, one day, the QCP show up in Omega 49 yelling about Planet Cork and killing Zoners. I'm not saying this roleplay is a bad thing, I'm not even saying that the QCP shouldn't do this kind of thing. But, guys, you stepped on people's toes. You didn't write up anything and you didn't get together with the locale leaders. In short, you didn't think this through. That's all I'm gonna say on the matter.

And where, might I add, am I gonna get a Privateer to chase around with my pitchfork? Hm?

Originally we did use the Sigmas, but this wasn't put in the ID, partially to placate Malaclypse funnily enough, who complained when we used Yanagi, since it was too far from home (which I can partially agree with, actually).

We're just trying to grow a little just now, and get some variation on the go. We're about to severely limit docking for instance (once we sort out Junker reps etc).

Just so people know, NPC Corsairs have killed Zoners for fewer reasons then the QCP did, as per this rumour acquired from a Corsair on Freeport 9:

Frankly, I welcome this, and I agree with it. If the QCP target someone other than those directly helping Kusari, they are not acting as Privateers, and are becoming pure vigilantes. If vigilantism has become your main purpose, I do believe a change of ID is in order. Privateering is really something completely different than attacking someone completely neutral who isn't directly supporting your allies.

But, that's just me. I dunno how the Sirius Privateers work. They might be completely justified in attacking a completely neutral party, like, say, Rheinland. I heard they're attacking our allies AND helping our enemies!

Point 1: Irony from the Bretonia side. Just thought I'd point it out.
Point 2: When the Corsairs went to war with Rheinland (that whole TBH-RM death-fest), they congregated with one another. It comes down to respect, gentlemen, if you're going to start raiding us frequently, some heads up would be nice. I think you lot would have learned when we had that Keeper misunderstanding about them trying to decimate the Freeport, and even that RP I support more, I'm afraid.

Point 3: I'd just like to point out the following for all those statistics out there giving the world's literacy rate a bad name:

both parties will find a creative way to stop. Negotiations. Concessions. A final battle event, if you want. RP your way out of it, but out of it you will go.

End of story. We will RP, heck, we may even duplicate the TBH-RM event(s). You may get exactly as you wanted, only you'll do it the right way this time. Consulting the people you intend to start posting (at one point THREE individual) bounties, raiding us yourselves, and generally grumping over who was in our house when. (House meaning home, don't turn this into, "I KNEW YOU WERE A SUPERPOWER!")

You do know that immense naval build ups were one of the key reasons for the First World War starting?
