I am also about to buy one of those Liberty Super Transports, they look and fly awesomely. A very epic machine. Kudos to whoever made it. :D

Semi legal? Don't care, so long as out of liberty and the houses. Won't do anything really vile like drugs or pot (OK... some of you don't consider pot a drug) though.

Running a patriotic mission for my nation by smuggling cardamine into rhineland space to poison them from the inside out... nah... too risky... will leave that to the secret forces:D

Anyway, I think this game really needs a CAPITAL CLASS hauler!!! Maybe with 5 BATTLESHIP turrets, 15,000 cargo (ok, 10k would be enough) nice armor and slow as hell... just able to get into a tradelane.

Make it cost as much as a dreadnaught... or MORE!!! Who wouldn't pay a billion credits to never have to fear puny lone pirates in heavy fighters ever again?
Oh and to the post directly above... I don't like your kusari ship designs. We libertonians arrived in Sirius WAYYY before anyone else, therefore we should have the best in hauler engineering!!!:P

I was thinking the same thing, though I remembered the balance issue, because than everyone would want one and thats OORP. But when was the last time you got Pirated by a lone NPC bomber? I didn't think so, last time I checked they used fighters in groups of three or four, so having a heavily armed transport(that cost out the wazzu) would make since and that would add to the pirates RPing in groups instead of groups of one bomber.

I makes more sense that if pirates are pirating in bombers, people that actually work for a living(ok to be rich) would invest in building a stronger(it doesn't have to have cap weapons) transport so that they could fend off a lone pirate bomber.

I think it would add the RP for pirates to have to struggle in their bombers taking done transports. Cause right now they just quickly drain our shields, and tell us to hand over the money, with little time to RP, its like what am I going to run off in the Omega's when the bomber can kill me in three or four shots? Maybe they could just give us lvl 10 shields.

My thoughts anyway.

Oh yeah ? What about the Cali-NY gate, doesn't that count? I've seen LR-'s using it:P

Not all pirates are just "cash or die". Today I have met a Corsair who was pirating in a freighter! What do you say to that? He asked me for a part of my cargo, and some cash... not one shot was fired.

Now that is cool. I have never seen that. The only non-cash-or-die was when a pirate had killed another freighter and wanted me to just trade in the cargo and give him the profits.

Please send all appreciation for our ship-building prowess to me, preferably in the form of too many credits.

After months of people throwing all manner of waste on the Mastodon, people are finally beginning to see it for what it is. Thank you Jinx for keeping at it and not bowing to all the naysayers and complainers!

Super transports look awesome but after some trials in opensp i have come to the conclution they best used in house systems with plenty of trade lanes due to the handling that rivals a battleship. tradelanes are way to crowded for my liking.

Devtonia ; all-or-nothing approach to bias.

Well, if you need advise on not to get stuck on the lanes, i can sure give you that, seeing as i fly all the house 5k transports, including the mastodon

The trick is to line your ship up with the tradelane before actually engaging docking. I noticed that if you can see a part of the next tradelane ring through the opening of the ring you are docking with, the ship won't get stuck. So whenever you need to make a sharp turn (mostly angles of 90 degrees or more, just fly manually to it, and make sure you're lined up perfectly, than getting stuck won't happen.

And if you do get stuck, the best solution is to go to the next lane ring, that way you're pretty much perfectly lined up, so docking shouldn't be a problem then.
