Bombers, an Old/New Approach

As I seem to be browsing in the crazy mofo idea department lately,
bear with me here.

Consider the lowly Dromedary. What if the Liberty Navy (an example) were to "adopt" it, bump it to say, level 8 shields or so, and stick torp pods on those stubby wings in place of turrets 6 & 7?

They'd have a nasty "Bombardier" which performs almost as well as the Rheinland Bomber in flight right now.
(Well, maybe not almost. Perhaps a little tweak...) It would just have weps which are equivalent to the levels of "vanilla" Liberty. Or, if you're thinking "Mark II", then bump to lvl 8 weps as well.

But please, paint that puppy's nose red, and hide it on a guard base.

A Clydesdale on steroids with some molded-in pods at 10 and 2 axial might be an impressive sight.

Not sure about those poor Kusari, though. Don't think I'd get caught dead in a converted Camara, or whatever it is. It might be killer, but...

Maybe Zukeenee would buy one!

The bloody Pirates seem to get their hands on anything, (fix that, will ya?), but the ol' X-Scow already sports one pod, and even though it has lead in its pants and a crappy paint job, a bomber revamp would have me checking my HUD twice to confirm what it was.

As I can't even make a good buttcheek imprint, I'll leave my idea to the likes of Mohr and the rest of you good folk.

Or, just toss it in the punchbowl with the others.

I have plans for a Kusari Bomber already, and it will kick the Drones but all over sirius. I'll be working on that model next. As for Liberty and Bretonia... A Clydesdale with Torpedo slots WOULD rock. I'll be looking into a design that incorporates its look. Thank you for your confidence!

Just make sure it has a red nose... thats the important bit. Shows that the Horsie means buisness. Call it the Mustang or something, to keep in with the horse theme.

And the X-Scow is unable to fire a Nova, I tried. Very disappointed.

I sincerely like Mal's idea, using the freighter models - with some alterations, as bombers.

Very interesting thought. But then we would still have the Rh Bomber uber because of the others' susceptibility to explosion damage multiplying....

I think this is A very Interesting Idea! I could see, that In Times of need, the houses would make ajustments to freighters as use for makeshift bombers! I for sure would Fly a dromdary or Rhino based bomber! Good thinking Mal! (Igiss are you reading this?)
