Also, the event planning forum is by default OOC just to clarify for those who don't know.

edit: besides, "gaijin" means something like "barbarian foreigner". Not even KNF and BD call each other gaijin, despite how much they hate each other. It's the difference between talking to people in your "family" and talking to strangers.

OOC: I apologize for the strong words, it was not my intention to offend you or any other KNF member.:$:$

I agree gaijin is not appropriate. Factions should choose an english name, and I can offer some Kusari translations based on this translation server...

http:/near.mv.com/cgi-bin/j-e/dict?L=E&...as+miners+guild

For example we call a Hogosha 'Batu' or pig, a play on the Hog in Hogosha.

In turn, the Hogosha could call us 'Shouki', meaning swamp gas or methane (and we know what that smells like;)).

For the Ronin, I would suggest a less antagonistic name for Naval Forces personnel might be 'Boushin', meaning blind acceptance; blind faith; credulity.

As always, you are a helpfull source of info. :D

Erm, could you please PM me date and time when it's standing? Don't care about this, can be every day of the week for me. I'll then look how many [GC] i can get mobilised (if any needed).

In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.

Quote:OOC: it's really hard to keep track of all the in game characters that a person has, when they just post things without identifying if it's RP char opinion or their OOC opinion.

Hawkwings is right. I am not going to have a character say my words, because the character is me. This is an OOC thread by default, so you don't have to use OOC: to designate things that are "Out of character" because you shouldn't be "in character."

Argo, we don't have a set time yet, but we will PM you the time when it is set.

Maybe we are trying to be too ambitious?

What about holding it seperately in 3 stages/rounds

GC/Blood dragons versus KNF/KSP in Honshu - Round1

Ronin/Mercs versus Corsairs in Sigma - Round 2

Survivors from winning teams of round 1 & 2 join with the GMG and Hogosha/Farmers in Okinawa for round 3

All three rounds could be at different times and dates providing we had a neutral judge to watch over the events.

That would work a lot better. And really, there's not need for a judge to be present, just have the people there post the results. We all trust each other to be honest, right?

Well these are events that the system developer asked if we'd put up so that GMG projects can be put on the line, it was an opportunity to try a concept. We agreed to go with it and stage the events. If it starts going in another direction for another cause I'll have to cease it and simplify it. For 2 month's I've seen very little interest from the opposition and have lost quite a bit of interest myself. Friday will be handling the planning of the events now. I will remind him and parties involved once again that specific information is required to be recorded from both sides both before and after the event which is to be submitted for the sytem modder. That info was discussed and can be found in the original discussion thread concerning these events and their purpose. If the data can't be acquired or the events take on a different purpose I'll inform the modder that the concept was a fail and he may proceed as normal (that's if he hasn't already decided that). I encourage a change in the date in time or whatever it takes to get about 5 members of the opposition to show, as for the GMG, BD, Ronin, Kirestsu, CS etc.... please draw straws or something when they show to even it up if necessary. Myself I won't be attending, it doesn't look like it is necessary to add another spectator to our side and my RL work schedule doesn't allow for much flexibility. I never really was a big fan of events anyways and I've lost out on too much RP oppotunities because of them. Good luck to both sides, if the events can be kept going than I'll be interested in seeing the results next mod.

I would suggest then that all factions post in what times are most suitable for them.

We can then do a little 'mix and match' throwing in Mercs, extra Corsairs, GC as needed.

Once we have times established we can then determine what data needs to be recorded - apart from the obvious kill count.

Ronin best time is 2230 GMT, generally speaking. Some times earlier in the day may also work.

Be kinder than necessary, because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
