When Ever i try to connect to any of the Freelancer Discovery Games it says;
I'm Sorry. but a connection could not be established to that server. and a bunch of other stuff saying it could be because the server went offline or its just a internet problem
Anyways i'm Using windows vista if thats the problem i'll have to switch it ran perfectly before though
1.When running Freelancer Run as Admin
2.When installing the mod run FLMM as admin, and then double click the mod (kudos to cannon)
3.Macafee fails...a majority of antivirus programs block FL, so make sure its on the exception list
4.If needed port forward 2300-2400 range
5.IF your using WIFI, plug in a ur hardline
6.IN some cases, disabling Vista User Account Control completely helps
7.Firewall must be disabled, or FL must be added to it

disable user access control, windows firewall, any other software firewalls, and disable data execution prevention for freelancer (DEP prevents parts of a program from working together correctly in memory)

Every time I see that suggestion I just wanna facedesk. None of those are necessary in my experience with vista. And they reduce vista's already crappy security.
yeah i talked to cannon about that, you dont need to disable UAC.
im multitasking...which is kinda odd, im installing xp on this pc i am gonna use for my FL 4.85 server, watching Stargate, getting this guide put together for cannon, and parusing the forums, while talking to freinds on vent...
