I say we remove all the ships, then we will all be able to have epic PvPs in our underpants. Any and all underpants shall have one gun slot, two mine slots and one countermeasure slot. Don't ask why.

no rly.

I like caps. Don't. <_<

As with most things, it's the people using the tool that are at fault, not the tool itself. Capships serve a purpose and should stay.

I have to vote no as well.

Hell, being able to fly a cap ship is the reason I started searching for mods for this game in the first place. And it makes for such lovely RP when we start getting into it, too. There certainly wouldn't have been quite the showdown in Delta last night if we'd all been in fighters.

Voted "Do no remove Battleships"

Our "Ecology" of ship gamplay has pretty much settled/ Dropping species like that and the game collapses.
There are so many problems that will arise if they are removed after all this time...

Removing any ships won't carry healthy fruit. Really, I see capital ships as some sort of variety here. Sure, I'm not too fond of LOLcaps as many of you are, but taking the ships out also means that a big part of roleplay potential dies with that. Just no, keep the ships. You can't blame a weapon for killing, but the one who uses the weapon to kill.

I used to have a battleship as well, way back in 4.83. After getting ganked horribly I decided I'll stick with fighters and bombers. Used to like gunboats as well, but meh, I'm not fond of them now as well.

//signed.

this cannot be said enough: It`s not the ships, it`s the blokes that fly em who cause problems.

Good analogy.

Anywho, it seems pretty unanimous as to the "No" factor. *cough* I said Nay as well.
