Rand Seith moved towards the council hall with his escorts standing beside him. After the so called rebellion started, admirality members were being protected day and night to prevent anything unpleasant from happening.
The chamber consisted of a small stage like central hall with audience chambers around it, capable to hold around 5.000 spectators.
However, this time the chamber was empty except the council to judge the rebellion members. Most of them were in their cells and the ones who are not yet tamed but being overseen were over the comm channels, watching and being watched over the big screens covering the walls.
Rand, just becoming the Fleet Admiral, literally had to wrestle with numerous problems and the numbers were always ascending. He slowly inhaled and closed his eyes for a brief second and entered the hall.
Admiral Mirage, Admiral Night, Admiral Asar and Commodore Dangen were there, filling the seats as there were no other High Command members at the time except for Mirage and Seith, after being replaced for Sius Malacos.
Rand saluted the commanding officers, some of the best tacticians, diplomats, commanders of Sirius, each having numerous success in their past. Admiral Asar looked impatient, he was always a direct man with little comment to add, going directly towards the results. Dangen was looking firm and calm. Jason Night looked rather uncomfortable as he was also new to his rank, wan't used to this kind of "problem solving" ceremonies. Admiral Mirage was calm as well, with the experience she had as an Admiral and the member of High Command, she was perhaps the most experience of the hall with Asar. Her blue eyes however, were like ice, looking deadly cold and gazing the files before her.
Rand took his seat and without pausing, he started to talk.
- "We are here, gathered to bring the hand of justice over those who have created the injustice, denied the code of conduct and broke their oath to Order. The accused are being judged because of charges against them which are being;
* Destruction of Order property and armament
* Stealing Order property ships and logistic supplies
* Ignoring the safety of personnel and crew as well as involved third parties
* Causing distraction of Order Political Stance with third parties
* Attacking on and harming other Order personnel
* Denying the Admirality decisions and trying to incite uprising
And..."
Rand cleared his throat and continued;
" * Causing the death of Order personnel"
Rand continued to read the names involved and stopped a second before reading the so called leaders of this uprising;
"...Nathaw, Pulsus, Chuck"
Rand stopped and there was a brief moment of silence in the air.
The room went silent when the Admiral of the Department of Assassination and Interrogation began to speak. She was in a particularly bad mood.
" Do we really need to discuss this matter so officially? " - Mirage glared the people sitting around with her usual , stripped of any emotion look.
" These weak minded fools tried to conduct a rescue mission , attempted to board the infected ship of Malakos and take him out . Then openly disobeyed my direct order to destroy him and his ship alongside with everyone aboard it! "
" I vote we destroy all ships under their possession and eliminate everyone who has been helping this rebellion with supplies , shelter and all things they might have needed. It is only natural that by doing that , we shall set an example and people who join our organization will learn that following orders is the main part of serving The Order! "
" Diplomacy is for people who are willing to listen to reason , not those who commit treason!"
Christopher got up and it was clear by his tone he was angry with the rebels but he remained his cool
"Most of what Admiral Mirage has said i agree with if the traitors remain alive they may try to start up again and that we cannot allow to happen, If they blabber out anything publicly it could get a lot more of our agents killed then they did when they tried there rebellion."
"I've seen some of the effect of what they have done, they have even managed to get a young corsair to help them and then was protesting against the destruction of one of there Carriers."
"We can not allow traitors to stay alive for they might know secrets we may wont to keep, I am going with Admiral Mirage's decision on this but any of the people who helped them mainly corsairs that might of be dealt with by there own people."
Christopher glanced around and even though he looked calm he was a little nervous this was the first Court martial he had attended, but he knew what to do with traitors that had killed fellow agents.
Admiral Asar gets up,with almost no emotion on his face, speaks with a clear tone.
"I have my own opinions gentlemen, since they are not happy with the commanding sturcture we have now, they must have their reason, so i would like to hear what they want to say, their complains could help us to fix the mistakes we haave, so i will expect them give us some good reasons on the courts, giving them their last chance, otherwise, jail for life or execution. Of course, if they give us some good reason from his complains, i would sugguest put him back to crewman rank with few years of community service."
"gentlemen, no need to get too angry, we need to deal things with a cleared mind, emotion make us see things wrong sometimes."
"Our reasons are clear..... the previous command was corrupt. now he is soon to be destroyed along with his ship the Khonshu. We wanted to focus more on the nomad threat than the pests of the Bounty Hunters Guild. now we see that they must be stopped in order to carry on operations against the nomads.
corrupt? What do you have to back up the your clam the order command was "corrupted" other then your word? and as i recall it was you who became a traitor and even killed Order agents. Its hard to focus less on the bounty hunters when they come knocking at our door with strike fleets, as i stated in the transmission you made THEY continue the war we only defend ourselves
" you claim it wasnt corrupted but it damn well was. the orders given out were unnessacary and inhumaine. We protect mankind not torure it. And the bounty hunters..... if you want them gone jsut organise a strike fleet and wipe them from delta. your call"
As i said what evidence do you have to support your claim, What orders were unnecessary and inhumane give me a example because i don't know of any Suis' orders that were unnecessary and inhumane. Killing your own fellow agents is what i would consider inhumane" Christopher looked at Nathaw with a icy stair
In the transmission you made you stated we should stop fighting the bounty hunters and now your saying we should get a massive strike fleet to wipe them out in Delta? and besides they would just send twice as many back into Delta.
you should choose your words more carefully Nathaw
Christopher sat back down still holding the his lifeless gaze at Nathaw
