I have zoner trader with 5 000 cargo, other chars can make money aswell, but its faster with my trader. My routes are different, when im bored with route i simply choose another one.
And smuggling in a group of two is good. Let say you get caught. What you do is that you make sure the police has all its attention on the other guy and then you continue your run.
And anyone who is in charge of Liberty law should repair the loophole that enable to smuggle without being fined.
Hmmm, why canadians are the only to have a sig image.

I got 70 million in one day back in 4.84... it was pretty sweet.
Anyway, I've a nice snuggle with my Firefly that nets somewhere around 25 mil per hour... I think... honestly I don't remember. The important part is that it sometimes makes people RP with me because one direction I piss off literally every single faction I pass and the other I make all of them very happy. I have not yet had the "luxury" of someone seeing me go both ways... that will be an interesting day.
The rest I get from the missions I do repping myself or members of factions I'm in... or the occasional code I chance upon.
...although I'm actually really poor... being a snubship lover means that I spend ~70mil setting up a fighter and bomber for any faction I join that won't fund me...
I think like most people who have been here a while the chars are bankrolled by trading,
but now I tend to raise funds by doing missions, they can be challenging (try taking on 3
Molly gunboats in Dundee, need at least a destroyer for those), and as someone said earlier if
you select the right missions they can be very profitable.

Missions are fun when you have people in a group doing them.
