Micro razor

So, ever had the joy of flying a small, underpowered fighter under your favorite faction's flag? Its fun, just to teach you how to survive out there when every hit from your opponent might be lethal. Sometimes you really wish you had something to rival your opponent, sometimes, simply to give him the utter most humiliation to be killed by an outdated ship like a Defender with all stunpulses and a sunslayer torpedo or a Dagger LF with pyros.

So, just an idea I was discussing once was a Micro razor. Just like a Mini, but for those underpowered forgotten nubby ships.

It would cost around a million or even less, consume just as much power as a sunslayer torpedo would and the damage would be rather high........for such a ship, that is. Say 600-1000 damage. (basically a fighter mounting one Magma hammer V)


I wonder what would you say to this.

I watched a Starflier kill an Eagle with Ripper mines in Vanilla once. I lolled. I think this might not be a terrible idea.

There are class 9 faction guns that do almost that much damage...

MK I mini razor for vanilla fighters with class 4 weapons.

Does as much damage as a class 9 buster.




Oh, Did I forget to mention the mk I Inferno, aka the Matchstick? ~1000 shield damage.

What about the Disposable Razor? 10 credits, causes as much damage as a Mini, breaks after three uses. Also causes ongoing damage unless the target applies talcum powder or little bits of tissue paper. Follow up with the Aftershave Cannon for instant kill.

The weapon speed on this gun should be reasonably high (up to 1500) to make it a light little 'sniper' gun for the under powered.

Would help with lowbies doing NPC missions too.

sounds like a plan *giggles* and you have to jettison it after 3 shoots or else the forth one going to "catastrophic decompression" you?
