Ok, ok, so the cockpit wasn't exactly popular:DYou're right though, it was too big. And here is the latest try at it.
I also rearranged the gun HPs so there are only 3 guns again. I was sort of assuming we'd use a new hit box and shield. I dunno, maybe I'm not allowed to redesign them that much.
Anyway, if someone more qualified would like to take these from here and add the textures and configure it for game use, that'd be cool. Just let me know. Otherwise I'll figure it out here in the next week.
One last update for the day. So we now have a LF, HF, and VHF, pity nobody will fly the HF, when it's done it might be my favorite:DI failed to add a turret to the HF also. Anyway, I'll probably tweak them some more, but they're just about there unless anyone has some suggestions.
Now it really will be a week or so before I get them textured, real life, and I've got to actually play Freelancer at some point;)
Thanks Cameron! From what I understand, according to this thread ( http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4788 ) the shield hardpoint is usually inside the ship, so I was just going to go with that. Unless there is some compelling reason not to...
I really hope that along with the new models, the Renzu ships get rebalanced to be competitive with all the other fighters flying around these days. It'd be such a shame for these works of art to go unused because their stats suck.
