Mining Helium, Possible?

I've been flying around Pennsylvania and new york systems lately and have picked up quite a bit of talk about mining helium, but when i tried it for myself it didnt seem to yield anything

Is there a special mining configuration i need to have or is it just not possible

I looked over dusty lens' handy mining guide again and didnt find any bonuses about helium for factions, does this mean all ships that go there get the same yield?

The normal yield, yes. If you go in a mining ship, though, you'll get an extra 80% yield from that; likewise, equipping a mining laser will add 20% to that. Certain IDs will also give you an extra bonus for different resources, but as far as I know there isn't one that gives a specific bonus for helium.

In theoiry one starflier can mine up to 2000 units in 60 seconds.

Get two and then get something with 4000 cargo and youre....wait..the hell am I talking

Get a mk8 pirate transport and go to the field, take the cargo from the whales which carry it off and be happy...dont harm the nubbehs tho.
