Im looking to make a sneak behind the lines style smuggler. Probably in a small ship. The smuggler would be a generic smuggler hauling many different kinds of goods. He would not just smuggle illegal goods but break the trade embargos as well.

To be clear i don't want to use a transport for this. In and Out of RP my smuggler will rely on the size of his ship and the skill of his crew to avoid his enemies. So i am looking for more a freighter/fighter style ship. I am aiming the ship at having good RP and fun. Not hauling 5000 units of artifacts through liberty hoping noone notices.

To sum things up i am asking for a reccomendation for a cheap freighter which would serve my purposes and is rather strong offensively to keep me safe while hauling goods through heavily populated sectors.

Thanks

You should maybe check out Anki, it is sold on Newark station in New York system, and I believe, other Interspace stations, which would be Waterloo, Bonn and Roppongi, in New London, New Berlin, and New Tokyo.

14500 Armor

3 Class 9-10 Gun slots, I believe, and I believe 4-5 turrets shooting forward.

Just check first.

The specs are not too bad but i simply can't see me flying that ship a lot... Any other options available... It does not have to have a lot of cargo at all really. Though thanks for the reccomendation it is certainly and option.

What about the Dromedary? It has three class 8 gun mounts, 5 class 5 turret mounts and I think about 8500 hull strength. But then I haven't flown it in a while, so I'm not so sure about the handling or which way the turrets fire.

Check out the "Camara" on Pittsburgh as well. It's one of the largest freighters out there, at 630 cargo hold. CM+M equipment provides for excellent escape options and the 6 class 5 turrets don't hurt either. The ship is also very slim and agile - making it very capable of dodging incoming fire. As freighters go, this is my favorite.

The Junkers' CSF Freighter seems like a good sort of ship for smuggling.

Uhh... The Bactrian Freighter I think it is? Not too sure about its exact specs, but it's commonly used amongst the Rogues/Mollys, and possibly the Junkers too. Might be worth checking out.

For the Core.

If your char hast a Corsair-affiliated background, you could use the Correro.
The Camara is everybody's darling as well.
For more firepower with moderate cargo space, check out the Zoner Gunboat.

The Pirate Transport is an agile ship, not less agile then, say, a gunboat. It has 7 forward firing turrets, lots of armor, 3400 cargo space, slap a mk8 armor on it and you can munch up anything that comes your way. Type 3 turrets are a pick if you feel like you will encounter large ships, type 4 if you feel like bombers will give your trouble.

But actually, since the turrets are so close together, two deb turrets and, say, Kraken turrets would work nice.
