Bulldog Replacement

well, right now i have a CD mount underneath the nose of the vehicle, so that isnt an issue. I didnt think about adding a mining laser hardpoint though... that's a good idea =P

As far as the pylons/fins, i'm not really sure what to do with them. I'm working on changing them to vertical fins now, maybe that will look better, especially since right now the 'bridge' is right behind the thruster thingy there, not a logical place for it.

Nah, they were fine before... I simply meant larger. The little winglets you had attached to the quasi rollbar before were sort of puny and understated. I meant something that looked like you could beat it around a little, an engine guard when you're flipping around in scrapfields.

What about something like this, gets the bridge out of the way of the thruster and I added the mining laser hardpoint to the top of the bridge:

Its still ugly compared to the Bulldog we have now, can you make it more narrow and more sleek design so it isnt so large its meant to be a fighter ship anyhow? Seriously why do Junker ships look like they were never meant to fly EVER? None of the smaller size Junker ships could make it outa the atmosphere even if the pilot had a full load of super jet fuel tied to his back with a rocket strap to his nuts. The proportions are all wrong the wings to small, and weight ratio of the body size compared to tail section would make all Junker ships unable to turn decently and only add to them wobbling around in space, not to mention the thing would be slowed by having no aerodynamics like taking a dump truck to a race track vs a nascar. Whos gonna win? I put my money on the dump truck.errrr. You should!!, make a bulldozer and make it fly? Its about the same as every Junker ship out there. It would be nice to have something new, I agree, but make it look Junkersish paint job that makes sense in aerodynamics not another scrap collector we have plenty of those look at the bloody Recycler its a scrap collector with no power output to harbor 2 decent torpedo without waiting 40second for it to fire again.

And why? Do they have to be so huge just for easy pickins with a snac. I might as well sell my Bulldog now if this is what its coming to. Snac food YUM YUM, you pathetic.. Why don't Junker ships evolve like the rest of the factions ship, create a Junker cruiser or Battleship and even a gunboat/gunship, Junkers dont have any of them instead of trying to change a nice looking ship to a pathetic scrap mongering no back bone none fighting capable ship only good for snac food. There its said and done.

My suggestion would be to make the ruder under the bridge a little bit more pronounced. This might be a good place to kitbash on a piece of the CSV wing.

Um, you do realize that control surfaces have absolutely no effect in a zero-atmosphere environment, right?

regardless, it's a junker ship. Junker ships are designed for cargo and salvage first, combat second. If you want a sleek, high tech fighter, join a military faction.

Firstly, the Junkers don't have any planets of their own so why would they need to build atmospheric capeable ships in the first place?
Secondly, Docking Rings. They make landing and taking off from a planet easy. A stick with a rocket booster could make it into space with the aid of a Docking Ring.

My god, do you even read the lore of the faction you are butchering? Junkers are not combatants, they are junk dealers. They use small ships capeable of surviving in dangerous debris fields and large cargo holds for collecting scrap.
Junkers don't fly top of the line combat ships, they fly utility ships.
