The CSF does get the scrap mining bonus, it's been like that since update.. whatever.

certain ships in the mod will cause more units of a particular resource to be dropped when you shoot a little asteroid chunk or scrap can.
For example, the mining ship - it gets a bonus when shooting any kind of mineable rock. The junker ships only get a bonus when shooting scrap cans.
