The server you are proposing is not powerful enough.

--The C2D we had with wolf was a E6300 with 1gb of ram. It could handle ~44 players before lagging like hell.
--The reborn one was a P4 3.0HT. IT could handle ~20 players before lagging like hell.

The ideal machine would be an Overclocked C2D E6300 or an X2 3800 (Cheaper). With no less than 1GB of DDR2-667 RAM and a fast hard disk.

Either way thanks for the offer. but do not waste money for the moment...
Getting a permanent server that cannot handle more than 50 users would be a waste of money.

Apparently some of the old funds could be transferred for the new server. However we might need some more donations.

I think I can get a few RAM cards for the new server, if Admiral can install them into his computer.

If you can give me a PO Box or something, I might be able to get you 1 extra GB's worth of RAM.

And if I REALLY ask around...I may even be able to get you a WD Caviar 100GB.

@Genma: Well, FL is not CS at all. You can function quite well with pings above 60. In fact, anything from 50-150 is fine for FL.

Walker, I have no preference where the server sits, US or EU... I fully support your move to set up the server as you indicated.

BTW I'm getting a little sick and tired of hearing, "nyar nyar our ping time is better than yours!!! You've all had it sooooo good since day one, now its our turn!11!!!!1!11!!" It's this effing puerile attitude which drove Wolf and other people away in the first place. Please knock it the hell off.

As long as somone hosts Discovery I do not care where the server is...the only issue for me is I have no money to donate at this time so I am of no use at all...
