Colonial Remnant Election Results

[Armageddon]

Fleet Admiral Meek walks in to the ceromonial chamber of Minato. He walks upto the mic and two people stand behind him.

"Yes well, I am here to announce the results of the democratic elections. After i have announced these two names martial law will be recinded and power will be returned to our newly elected government."

He looks down at the card in front of him and says two names.

"The position of President won by a 60% Majority is, Basil Angelos. The Position of Prime Minister won by a 64.3% majority over his rivals goes to, Jerome Morrow. I now hereby hand over command of the remnant to the newly elected government as of now. I believe both the newly elected President and Prime Minister wish to make speeches so i will leave you to them now."

The Fleet Admiral saluted both of the men then stood in the shadows behind them.

Well, I ain't no politician, but if you want me for the job, you've got it.

Most of you already know what kind of animal I am and how it is to work with and for me.

Let there be no mistake - I'm not planning any revolution. Alex had a plan and it was a good plan untill that slut couldn't keep her legs together.

(The mentioned secretary went pale, then red and left the press room, slamming the door behind)

I'm neither a demagogue nor democrat. Since you chose me, you must have fugured an authoritarian-head is better than a nice-talking political animal.

My plan is to get us some breathing space as Alex intended, space is resources, resources is industry, industry is military, military is independence.

Ladies and gentlemen, citizens of the Colonial Republic, this is your new Prime Minister speaking.
Firstly, I thank you for your support and the faith you have placed in my skills and principals by casting your votes in my favor.

While I take this new office, I also must acknowledge the things achieved by the previous administration, which unfortunately succumbed to corruption and met an untimely end, but I dare say worked in favor of our nation throughout most of it's realm.

I also wish to greet the new president, Mr. Angelos, with whom I will be leading our people.

I step onto the podium today as a citizen, one man amongst many, chosen not to be served, but to serve the whole of our nation.
You have my solemn promise that I shall do all in my power to further the influence and interests of our illustrious nation, and provide a better and more secure future for us all.

Let us do this then, as always, for those we left behind.
