first off all, i don't know if this has been said before or not, but i couldn't find anything using search, so i'll post it anyway.
Recently i've been noticing how illogical the trade lane network currently is. for example omega 7, both tradelanes (if you open the map) run in different directions from one another, both to the IMG base there. Once you get there, and you wish to continue to the next system, you need to dive down to the next lane, effectively making all traffic cross there for no reason what so ever. Imagine in RL you would suddenly have to switch sides of the road you are driving on (first you are driving on the right hand side, then suddenly you have to drive on the left hand side). This can only lead to accidents (and NPC's cause them allot in my case)
I was just wondering, isn't it possible to change the directions on some tradelanes to make them more logical, as i find it pretty absurd that in the future they would do something as idiotic as this.

I too have noticed this. (I have also hit an NPC when I dived down for the botttom lane.)
It is annoying, however, we may to live with it. (If it is not an easy fix, leave it alone, more important things need work first.)
It's space, not a road. You can fly anywhere in three dimensions. It's not easy to change at all, because there's no easy way to determine the difference between tradelanes in a system. Meaning changing much lanes requires a lot of trial and error. That's a tedious amount of work for something not so important...
if anything's annoying about tradelanes it's once every so often you go flying out of them really fast and have to turn sharply before you enter the atmosphere of some planet. i've never died from it, but have came pretty close (the tradelanes going to BS Westfallen in hamburg in particular seem closer to the planet there then most)
on second thought, i suppose this keeps traders paying attention:P
also theres something wrong with the lanes in leeds, i know one's missing a piece and i figured it was kusari's fault for that *shakes fist* but when using waypoints to "set best path" they tend to all suddenly disappear around Leeds, or if i'm going through to rhineland, disappear upto about cambridge, anyone else noticed this at all? otherwise it could just be me.
