You are taking souls to hell apparantly.
You are basing the entire OOC history of this group around the idea of Hell, Heaven and Gods.
The OOC history is meant to be fact.
If this is accepted as what it is then Discovery now has Gods and Hell. No heaven though, odd.
So basically, a yes to this is a yes to there being Gods in Discovery who have divine powers and paranormal servants that cannot be killed.

If you die in Battle the BOATMAN aka Ferryman will have your Soul, as your Soul travels to the Underworld once you "Die".
Only those Killed by us may we collect upon, of Which our Ghost Ships have special means for all those Souls Collected! Sought of like an ETHEREAL NET. So we cannot wait til after a battle to collect souls as the Boatman would have already had them
How can we Operate Machines if we are dead!? Well in effect when you see Our Ships they are really not there in 'Solid Form', Just a Mirage a translucent Ship is ideally what we should look like. It is only because FL wont allow your solid ship to become See through, that it seems we are flying solid ships!
I do not Proclaim to be the Leader of teh Ghost Realm, in all Arguement the Boatman aka Ferryman is! But no one as of yet is Roleplaying the Boatman. The "Spagna" is merely the First Ghost Ship to haunt the Omicrons nothing more.
Actually, here's my solution to at least my issues with this.
Problem:
The factual information you have given shows these ships to be paranormal beings that came from Hell and where there are Gods.
This means that Discovery has Gods with divine powers and paranormal servants, that interfere with Sirius, fact. Not in a characters mind or beliefs, but in OOC information that is meant to be fact.
Solution:
Species from another dimension or just an alien species. An energy being, anything. Basically take the factual basis of the faction and make it more scientifically based. You can have everyone on the server calling them Ghosts and their characters thinking that too but it just doesn't fit in a Sci-fi game to have actual Ghosts. Not in Discovery it would seem anyway.
3. why are you killing people that are still alive and well...cant you just wait for them to be dead and collect them? (like RP collect the souls after a battle fought by others, and possibly put the half dead stragglers out of their misery)
4. just for kicks...how do you grab on to the controls of the ship? your dead are you not?
5. Would you please do something other than raid and kill? It'll make your Order battleship a little less Cap/PvP whorish (It's a cap no matter how bad the ship is equipped)
These 3 you failed to answer and are avoiding them...now, i would like answers to these 3.
and for the love of. change the "boatman" thing. really...that sounds like a 12 year old made it

There are no GODS in hell, Only demons forsaken souls and the Lord who controls Hell / Underworld.
We are in effect beings from another dimension, we can interact with the mortal dimensions as we work for the Ferryman collecting Souls / and engaging in our own RP, Mine being the Eternal hunt for the Outcast Dread "Captana" that the Spagna wants revenge on for gunning her Down.
I want to keep the idea of us being Paranormal entities, that way there is room for paranormal RP such as that today where I was Haunting Freeport 9 but then I was "Scared Away" by Zoners who had Pineal Amulets with them. I shall be including a RP piece where Amulets have the Power to Ward us away!
