Since wiki doesn't give enough info. I was wondering how exactly is the Hogosha - Corsair alliance based.

I was under the impression that Hogosha depended on corsairs for military help and artifacts smuggle, it deffinatley shouldn't mean, I've got the iff, i've got the ID, now i can trade deut - ograns trough 41.

actually, i was just noting the future generations of this bright idea that unless admin voices himself and says its cool, i'll tax you like you were any other trader.

bypassing rules aint cool

As far as I can see, the only reason the Hogosha/Corsairs are allied is due to Hogosha smuggling artifacts for the Corsairs. However, why an alliance is needed for simple smuggling, I'll never know.

I have an indy Hogosha, can't speak for the [|]. Personally, I think that's taking the piss. A Hogosha in 074 picking up Organs should be going to Kabuchiko, not 049.

Hogosha give corsairs food.
Hogosha smuggle artifacts for Corsairs.
Corsairs give Hogosha money.

That's why their allied. They depend on each other.

Come on! Be free!

as sayed before, money and smuggleing, and the Hogosha sided with the Order (why ever!?), and as long as the corsais leave the Kusari shippers in peache, there would be no reason for the Hogosha, not be be friendly to the corsairs.

Well, the Corsair-Hogosha artifact trade is a given. It's been around the whole time. As for military help...

...yes, there would be some co-operation between Hogosha and Corsairs tactically under some circumstances (e.g. Corsairs escorting Hogosha transports and vice versa). However, you have to remember the Hogosha are semi-legitimate and don't try and do anything obvious in Kusari to draw attention to themselves.

Large numbers of Corsairs inside Kusari actively assisting the Hogosha (or the Farmers' Alliance) is going to draw unwanted attention not only from factions like the Blood Dragons, Outcasts, and Consortium, but more importantly from the Kusari Authorities.

Occasional Corsairs inside Kusari hauling freight and visiting around are one thing, but I know from personal experiance that the KNF, KSP, and Kusari Corporations are definitely going to react violently to any Corsair that overstays their welcome.

Outside of Kusari in places like the Sigma border worlds or Bretonia, Hogosha/Corsair alliances would be much more overt.

***

As for Hogosha hauling stuff to and from Gran-Canaria, given their status as self proclaimed 'legitimate businessmen', and the Zoners' general policies toward unlawful groups, I don't see why it wouldn't be a problem. From a practical standpoint, the Hogosha would need more trade opportunities then Artifacts to and From Crete.

From an RP standpoint, trading Deuterium atleast would be another business opportunity, and lend to the image of the 'enterprising businessman' the Hogosha seem to want to portray. Human organs would probably be a less... talked about side of business, but given what else the Hogosha do, it wouldn't be out of the question entirely.

Atleast that's my take on it.

All that begins must end.

Still. The hogosha bring food supplies and other important materials only found in Kusari. Without the Hogosha, the outcasts would probably be winning the war.
