The easiest diplomatic way I see here would be the following:

• QCP stop shooting around in the NFZ areas, arrange a deal so you can visit your bretonian friends on the surface and have the occasional tavern brawl with corsairs.
  
• QCP can pirate anyone in O-49 or any Omega system (as per their ID) as long as it is pirating, not blowing up mobile freeports, battleships and destroyers... they use up maintenance resources the Zoners could otherwise trade with :P
  
• Any capital ship guarding a trade convoy outside an NFZ would be fair-game.
  
• Zoners won't like it, but won't be going after them if they stick to doing their thing at least 5 klicks away from Freeports or GC and don't chase ships into the NFZ. All it takes is proper planning where you intercept a trader.
  
• Any Zoner starting to whine about the QCP after such a deal deserves what he/she/it gets.
  

This would leave the door open for some fun Convoy ambush events which both sides can enjoy.

Reisiger, I do not want to offend you, but more restrictions on RP is the last thing that we need. QCP may blow up the Zoners as they wish, they may blow them up in this NFZ and they may hunt them (all in RP)... meh, as long as they face the RP consequences. Why don't the bloody Zoners boycott Bretonia? Heck, there is always a way in RP to solve this.

Like I said: it's just the indicator of a poor RP if you need to PM an administrator, because you were robbed by a Privateer.

And I hope that all those, who carried the RP conflict to a ooRP realm, may be smashed by the powers of RP.

The NFZ doesn't provide any practical use. And QCP, as any other faction, should have its right to decide its own diplomacy. They could be pirates or robbers but diplomacy is something that changes in time. Everyone knows that the Corsair and Zoner affliations are mostly prone to abuse and have been abused by many people for a long time. If Zoners were meant to be fully neutral, as admins claim, then they should have been shooting Corsairs trying to breach their bases to get shielded from their foes, no matter what the infocards or rumors say.

This whole thing was brought to you by the Zoners, because of their sheer incapability to respond within RP and that they felt complaining to admins would be a lot easier than getting their acts in shape. If the Zoners are an untouchable faction, this must be clarified by admins, while I still don't agree with that because the neutral IDs were restricted long time ago for a reason.

If Zoners continue letting Corsairs abuse their bases, they simply can't be considered as neutral. Having a similar understanding with the Outcasts will not change the fact that the Corsair Zoner alliance is what actually harms the overall harmony and creates every kind of trouble.

Because doing so makes about as much sense as boycotting Corsairs for pirating our ships.

Zoners are not a House, we're a bunch of individual who have the CoZ as a quorum to talk over things. Even if we'd declare a boycott... what then? How many non-CoZ Zoners would even bother about it?

My only problem with QCP's action is their complete and utter refusal to even try and work something out behind the scenes.

They want to put pressure on GC for having corsairs there? Fine. Let them do so, but talk with the ones whom you are getting involved into your RP.

We could have the corsair factions and the CoZ and QCP sit together and think of a chain of events that would lead to something.

I also think from a RP perspective that angering the Zoners by attacking inside the NFZ makes no sense if they want to drive a wedge between Zoners and the Corsairs on the planet.

They should rather try to keep the NFZ untouched, or even favour Zoners doing trade runs into Bretonia (if they want they can just hijack the ships to bretonian ports) to cause political tensions on the surface.

All they are causing now is actually forcing Zoners and Corsairs to shoot at a common enemy... the completely wrong way to go about if you want to mess up Corsair-Zoner relations.

It looks like noone remembers the few incidents between ZRT forces and indy corsairs and oc's shooting inside NFZs? But I guess if we don't go and post a hundred forum posts about how dare we shoot them for attacking traders inside the NFZ... then noone will notice either.

Actually we will attack anyone abusing the NFZ. Heck we have problems with individual Corsairs all the time.
Or we have the option to. Not all Zoners follow the rules put down by the COZ. And you are correct about the QCP being able to set up your own RP and diplomacy.

Now this statement is a load of bs. That is like me stating that the QCP is just a bunch of PVP whores who are looking for a new target to go after and decided to pick on the zoners. We zoners just felt your RP reasons were weak, and the QCP was playing outside it's scope. The QCP was set up to attack Kusari, not zoners. It makes little sense for all the sudden for the QCP to attack us when there is very little RP reason to do so. Also why are they not going after Mollys. They support the Corsairs, as do the junkers. With very little RP to show that the Queen has now given the QCP letters of Marque to attack zoners as well, reasons for doing so are slim. Letters of Marque were usually specific on who the recipient could attack and in what area.

We also let the BHG dock, The Order, Junkers, house traders, house police and Military's, GMG, IMG, ect...ect. Wow we would have even let the QCP dock there. We allow everyone to dock at our stations. The Corsairs LIVE in O-49 and 50..so yes there are more of them there to use our facilities. Being who we are, we have to be good neighbors or we will be persecuted everywhere. So letting the Corsairs use our bases is just a poor excuse..

If I would have a pirate or some other unlawful character, I wouldn't give a damn to this NFZ when chasing my prey. This is like two kids playing tag and one starts yelling: 'No, I am protected near this tree. Now you are the idiot.'

OK, here's the only really workable solution to this problem which is causing far more anger and bad feelings amongst players than it really deserves.

1. Stop looking for someone to blame over this whole issue. Some blame Zoners for complaining OORP, some blame QCP for acting in poor RP, some blame admins for intervening in a RP issue. Whatever. I'm not going to tell you who I think has acted wrongly or should be blamed for this because it is not helpful. Instead, people should simply accept the point we are at and look for solutions.

2. Solutions; have to be inRP. Setting OORP limits on what any players can or cannot do will only cause more resentment. Zoners want not to get shot at for reasons they cannot control, QCP want to fight off the corsairs who threaten Bretonia and cut trade to Kusari. These goals are not incompatible. Hence, it should be in both parties interests to reach some sort of RP agreement, even if it is under-the-table style negotiations. So, do so. Doesn't have to be rushed, or forced in an artificial way, it should be the natural RP result of the current situation. The only other alternatives to negoitation would be detrimenatal to both the efforts of QCP and Zoners. So, negotiate, something similar to what dieter suggested about not letting corsairs hide in the NFZs if they are launching raids, it is a good and workable idea.

I think the Admin Warning is unjust, its the job of mods and admins to keep the gameplay going..orderly, but ib this case, they should have only buttoned up the oorp flame cryers, and let the play ingame continiue.

the victims of the QCP can set up bountys on them, get escorts, oh yes, lately i have seen zonerwhales with escorts, not bad, just like anyone else.

Bountyhunters and mercs have shurly no problems blowing up some bretonian hotshots.

I think this decision is highly unjust (and no, I'm no privateer nor anyhow affiliated with them). Privateers are supposed to disrupt the economy of an enemy, not to fight their military - so targeting Zoners (instead of KNF or Corsairs), which are the powertraders of Disco, supplying each and everyone, is completely legit, as long as you don't expect to dock on Freeports afterwards.

If you want a compromise, restrict the QCPs to shoot down only Zoner in Kusari space, near Kusari stations or lanes in contested space or trading commodities to Kusari or Kusarian allies. If one of the two sides goes ooRP, sanction them accordingly, but do not restrict their RP. Zoners are just as good as targets as Xenos, Corsairs, Outcasts, Nomads, mercenary or trading companies, Dragons, House Militaries and any other faction on this server bar the Angels, which are wearing Neutral IDs.

Scary as it is - I completely agree with Blunt here.
