I must state here, we should do whatever we can to preserve vanila hitboxes and all, it's great to subtarget wings and all. If you replace them with models that dont remove such functionality great.

otherwise no replacing... we should first replace all imports and such, then perhaps add more ships.

I think 80% of these will fit to the Vanilla hitboxes, and if hitboxes can be resized then 19 of the other 20% will fit in a resized hitbox.

(The Griffin is probably the only one in need of a custom hitbox, which I intend to attempt to make)

Subtargeting? someone's going to have to explain how to implement/preserve 'such functionalities' in order for me to work them into these. ;) If I can get some information on how-to, then I would be delighted to put my penchant for perfectionism and features to work.

As a side note, the vote is no longer being tallied. (I'd make it vanish if I had the controls)
You can mess with it all you want or state your opinion; fact remains that these ships *will* be submitted.
All of them;
the ones I'm finished with, the ones in progress, and the ones I haven't even started on yet.

That fact will only change if;
1; admin(s) intervene
2; the submissions are rejected

I apologize if this upsets anyone or if people would rather I worked on imports, but its my time I'm giving up so I am entitled to choose how to spend it. :)
I have already said all this before and this is the last time I'm going to respond to any requests/opinions/pleading (civil and otherwise) to cease this project, to tell the truth I am getting tired of them, even the civil ones. :P

Liberator; Ill work on it. The old wings aren't conducive to the new shape, but I will see what I can do.
No promises. And if the old wing style doesn't work out, then the version without the top fins is the one Ill be working from.

From skimming over this thread, many of your model changes are good, many of them are bad. My problem is... either the change looks terrible or it's so minute that the model isn't really changed at all.

I'd say if you're going to remake Mk II ships, at least take the time to build your own models instead of making minute changes. But then, I don't think it's necessary anyway. Honestly, and no offense to you and your efforts, but the modeling skills of the original developers far exceeds the quality of these kit-bashes...

Change is good. But it has to be good to change.

The changes, in my opinion, are supposed to be minute. What's happening is that the House Militaries are taking old designs and tweaking them, giving us newer, improved ships.

To put it into our terms, we're taking old Mk I designs and tweaking them, giving us newer, improved Mk II ships.

Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams
Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction
Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid
Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space
Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits

Liberty and Nomad Backstory, Very interesting - read it!

Well just an idea: For the neph, we could have 3 more mini wings sticking out!

That would look awesome...

A human version of the Nomad Assassin popped into my head when you said that.:laugh:

And... in my opinion changes that minute don't improve the ship athstetically at all. Improvements to technology doesn't always mean "bigger, stronger, faster, louder" either. If that were the case my computer would be ten times the size of a house, earthquake resistant and sound like a 747 taking off. My old computers Harddrive space once fit into the palm of your hand, now it fits up your nose.

Vanilla ships are works of art, and I don't want to be mean, but quite frankly you might as well just take a dump on the mona lisa.

Whats the 'neph'? the Nephythis? (sp?)

I have some ideas, fostered by the Bastet, my Amun prototype, and a few other things...
I think we might look into the Nephythis next..... I love Order ships.

As for the Liberator, I am still working. My last few days have been jammed full of travel and work but perhaps Ill have some time this afternoon to experiment. :)

(Sky Jocky, I take no offense, neither do I intend to respond beyond saying that; as per my last post)

The top part of the cockpit on the Liberator looks a tad weird , but other than that , its awsome ( the one with the wings, not the fat one)

Ignoring critisism isn't productive, you know. We, ultimately, are the people who will be flying these ships, so why should my input be ignored? Personally, if the Liberator gets replaced with that model I'll likely sell mine and leave the LPI... As a person who flies Light Fighters primarily, these changes effect my every role.
