Ok, I can call myself a pretty experienced Bomber pilot, and I was flying with another person named Alpha3, who is also a very good Bomber pilot. Yesterday we faced in our two Bombers (The Praetorian which is an extremely good Bomber ship) two GMG Fighters. Guess what? We both got utterly outskilled and outplayed. Those two pilots knew exactly how to perform, the minute they lost their shield they began evading, exactly how a Fighter should play against the Bomber. Minimizing the risk of receiving a SN, meanwhile the Co-pilot is still furiously shooting us down. Sure it took them a good 15 minutes but that was because we are also pretty good at dodging, that might be a factor. So you see, it comes down to skill and that is exactly how it should be.

Players who are skilled should be rewarded accordingly. Players who can't utilize their ship successfully should face the consequences. That is the point of balancing.

Now I ask you the same two question I asked in the other thread:

1) Have you ever taken out a Fighter with YOUR Bomber-vessel by using the insta-kill method which basically means, hitting it with a Supernova? If the answer is YES --> Have you performed such kill-shots on a regular basis?

2) You are allowed to take ANYONE from the server player list. Can you name me 15 Bomber-pilots who can take out Fighters in their Bombers by using SNAC on a regular basis? And don't say the "Well I know a bunch of people in Liberty, or Delta." No NAME me 15.

The term "regular basis" means ... well, at least ONE guaranteed kill by using SNAC against a Fighter, in a battle.

Go ahead and answer if you can.

Players cant be balanced. Sindroms could easily kill me in a Barghest when i fly a Greyhound. I am not a really good Pilot. VHF = Very Heavy Fighter, understand? Get a lighter one if you have problems.

I think most peoples trouble is that bombers, at the best skillcap, are the best ships bar none in the game and shouldnt lose in equal terms to anything if the pilots skill is good. Lets take an mmorpg for example, its not balanced around the philosophy "well the people who can maximize it are few so that makes its strength ok" this is quite wrong frankly. If your going to balance balance on the best of the best only then can balance be achieved.

The only thing I have not seen bombers take down solo is light fighters but its ussually pretty close. Now the thing is vhf/gunboat should be equal to or stand a very good chance at max skill level to a bomber, but thats not the case. Also you SHOULD NOT have a bomber take down a transport with two vhf all over him.

Also the snac kamikaze dives need to go.

Well, I recently had experience with this, where me and one other bomber (Warans mind you - they've a Barghest powerplant) pirated and then killed an IMG Carrier. He was of course without escorts, and killing him took absolutely forever. He only had a Cap II upgrade, and if he'd been totally upgraded, the fight would have been even longer yet.

If that Carrier had even a single escort, we would have been mince-meat. Killing any large capital ship is not quick (but then it's not hard either - just sit at 2K and snipe), and escorts have plenty of time to chase down attackers. My Waran is regularly chased down and mauled by OPG Titans, and I'm forced to flee.

Escorts do have time and bomber are not the 'I win' button. I've scored plenty of SNAC kills on other bombers, but I could count SNAC kills I've scored on fighters on one hand, after it's been mangled by a bear trap.

At the moment, everything is good as it is.

Stop complaining about everything being unbalanced, if you lose a PvP match.:dry:

you are really damn aggressive....

while too many of those - as you call them "whining threads" might get a bit annoying at times... they re also very helpful. - very often there are good ideas in such threads. - and no complaint comes out of no where. - that doesn t mean that the complaint is justified, but it means that there might be a reason about it - and it is a positive thing to voice this opinion.

labelling anything you don t like as a "whining" thread is quite disrespectful. - people haven t really whined at all... but mostly shared experiences and offered ideas.

*shrug* I don't know what everyone's problem is. I took out three BH bombers in a Sabre, so really they can be shredded by VHFs.

My suggestion to all capital ship owners is to only mobilize your capital ships if there is a threat or objective that requires capital ship support. There's far too many capital ships that just sit idle, I call them bomber meat, because they're just waiting to die.

No, don't follow this suggestion. This simply implies that Capships are only for PVP.
