Okay, I don't know about you all, but I'm more than a little P.O.'d regarding the Train Cruise Disruptor's flawless effectiveness on everything. It seems to me like something with "Train" in the name would be specifically for stopping the heaviest transports.

You don't need need perfect agility to take on something like that, you need stopping power. Which means payload weight. Which would mean decreased agility if physics had anything to say about it.

So, I'm thinking that train cruise disruptors should be less agile.

So then what do you do against fighters? I'm thinking add in Interceptor Cruise Disruptors. Just enough power to stop a ship with the engines in the back, and agile enough to hit a Liberator.

I don't like ships that use TCDs as the universal solution for everything.

Comments?

Lag and close range is the TCD's undoing in my experience, it doesn't turn on the fly like a Hornet or Mosquito.

You mean TCDs miss sometimes? I have never seen that happen ever.

At close range, unless you aim directly at the target, the TCD will just end up spining in circles around them.

Meh, agreed that TCD's aren't perfect against a fighter pilot who's really good at dodging.

However, I would still like to see them removed from NPC's.

Ever tried to dodge a Hornet? A wasp even? It's not happening.

Train cruise distruptors are designed to distrupt trains and/or capitols. If the target has a decent CM then on the odd occasion they get away. It's fine as it is. By the way, the poll does seem to be slightly grammar biased.

Train CD misses quite often on some capital ships, namely the Outcast Battleship. I remember I was in my LSF fighter trying to disrupt a OC BS engines, but it didn't work even though I fired 10 in quick sucession. Afterwards, the pilot said Train CDs NEVER work from the back of an OC BS.

Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams
Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction
Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid
Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space
Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits

Liberty and Nomad Backstory, Very interesting - read it!
