Locking the jumpgate to certain IDs only is the simplest and cleanest solution, and I support the idea completely. Regular Navy ID probably shouldn't let you in, Navy Guard only.

Whatever happened to jump gate access codes is my question. I think locking them down to all factions but LPI, LN and LSF is a top tucker idea. Your right, it is a high security gate and should be locked down tight. The only exception i'm thinking would be the Hackers and the Order as they'd have the means to hack hardware like that.

I just saw some guy come towards the lane from zone 21, obviously not supposed to be there (probably hauling contraband), yet there are four navy gunboats, a battlecruiser, two bombers, and a fighter sitting outside of norfolk shipyard lolwutting to each other.

Get on the job guys, it's your fault that those smugglers keep getting through alaska.

Game mechanics, RP and player creation accessibility are preventing most, if not all of the changes you are asking. When I modded Alaska, trust me that I spent a lot of time studying and testing multiple theories that would not harm the gameplay of good players.

There is only one solution that I haven't tried to use yet; Putting Weapon platforms launching CD at certain key areas in the system. I didn't do it because of my limitations in this type of modding... but I think I could make it... Yet, it has to be approved by our boss.

Till rules change to turn in our favor (which will not happen since there are abusers on all sides) most of the job will have to be done by the player himself.

Live with it, or change your RP. Nothing more to do. You can throw whatever idea you want at me, none are new or innovative.

Also, Alaska is no secret anymore. HOWEVER, the tests and researches made within the system are still in secrecy as well as Fairbanks, Kodiak and Atum. I changed the RP a bit to fit with Igiss RP about Core BHG (yes... in-rp they pass through Alaska), hence why there is a corridor within the system now. Stick to it with a navy/LSF escort, or die.

Game Mechanics > Server Rules.

Make it Physically impossible for anyone, except with Order, LSF, LN, Guard, and maybe Civillian IDs to get through the gate.

Most Civillians are starting characters anyways, headed for minor..

Excuse me?

Does it look like were scratching our butts? Every time I log on, theres at least 5 lolwuts powahtraders. Alaska itself is such a large system, it takes roughly half an hour to find each person.

Join the LSF and find out how bloody annoying it is, especially since in RP, no ones supposed to know about its existence. Hel, even the MND doesn't know that system exists!

Please people, stop saying that "nobody but Liberty lawfuls" can enter. If that's the case then only very highly ranked Navy / LSF would be allowed in. If we're following vanilla, which we're not, LPI and regular Navy would be terminated or silenced, so the majority of LSF and LN players wouldn't be allowed in either.

In Discovery, Alaska is not a secret. Travel the Trans-Alaskan Corridor, and you won't find out any of the secrets so you won't need to be silenced.
