Some time ago the Coalition members have requested for new ships because the ones I made were apparently bugged and hence presented an unwanted disadvantage in PvP, this along with difficulties in hitboxing and a rather strange bugs in texture made me re-make the coalition ships...

At this moment, only these two models are available for view

These were originally supposed to be kept to dev forum only, but a lack of any reaction from the devs made me bring the things here before I further proceed with the line, I want to see general opinion.

Light fighter "Cyclone" CSF-YF03

//My inspiration for this ship was the Basilisk from Starlancer. We basically go back to the roots of the Coalition, with a ship that was, at the time, a prototype. While the actual in game "Partisan" LF is based half on cinematic Coalition ship and the Basilisk, I believe this one much closer to what it was. The color scheme has changed from drab blue decorated with gold and red star to this factory white decorated with the red and white star, which will now be standard for all next Coalition ships. Coalition ships hence adopt the color scheme of white with red trims.//

Very heavy fighter "Thunderstorm" CSF-YH05
[Image: LFc2screen.png]

//Again, Thunderstorm is just like its smaller cousin based on the Basilisk. There's also some hint to modern aircrafts with the fins and wings pattern.//

Bomber "Firestorm" CSF-YB02
W.I.P.

Gunship "Storm" CSF-HB2
W.I.P.

Destroyer "Typhoon" CSF-CV1
W.I.P.

Dreadnought "Tempest" CSF-CV2
W.I.P.

And before you start panicking on this last one, but Tempest should be a simple aesthetic modification on a more coalition-style Osiris battleship.

Those are so incredibly beautiful.
I'd be honoured if I could fly something like that.

They do indeed look very much like an SCRA ship would, in my opinion.

I think this gets a ninety-eight out of a hundred from me, Yue.

Not that my opinion counts much.

I honestly think they are uglier than the current ships. The vertical profiles of the current ships are just fantastic I think, give the SCRA that different look that these lack I think.

nice ships overall but something is lacking.

Ke Lin, they're a good start.

Not sure about the length of the separation in the rear of the ships...could it be shortened by about 1/3?

Also the cockpit window seems to be extraordinarily long. any way to shorten the cockpits? The LF could stop at the metal brace, and the VHF could stop about 3/4 of the way from back to front.

Also, the Storm and Typhoon are great as is personally. The Tempest would be nice in place of the Typhoons guarding the jumpholes however.

despite appearances, these ships are actually very small. There only size reside in their length really.

As well, to answer Linkus, vertical design was exactly what they do not wish to have anymore.

Hmm... There look very good, especially if they don't have bugged hitboxes. The only thing I don't really like about them is the white backround- though if their hybrid Coalition-Civilian ships, it makes sense.

Come on! Be free!

They are indeed beautiful, but I will miss the old designs dearly...
If they are bugged though... what else can you do?

In any case, I won't shed any tears, these are fantastic. :)
My only suggestion; darker hull texture. Just like the current ones, and gold trimming on the stars.

I really like the current coalition ships, there's defintly some hit box issues that need fixing, but the design of them is great.
the current coalition ship line looks like nothing else in freelancer, the small flat fronted cockpits and downward pointing fins, you could see one at 5k and know it's coalition instantly.

you do have great models, and i think they'd make a great line, possibly an alternative civilian line, but there's nothing wrong with the current style of the coalition ships.

I know the actual coalition line has its own charm (and I'd very much like to save them, but I don't see many alternatives for them...)

Unfortunately, the modifications required must be radical, and asked of me to rebuild an entirely new chassis.

While vertical design is interesting, the only working example would be a bounty hunter style, single wing ship. Which I honestly find ugly...

I love these ships!
Do not bow to the pressure, Yue!
