Gooday Amigos,

We do not speak often, and regretfully the occaison is never good. The subject of this letter is your Cadiz brothers, the Omega Pirates Guild. This particular organization of corsairs is begining to overstep thier bounds in such as way that they inadvertantly making policy for all of the Corsair people, and it may hurt your nation much more than you realise.

The Union has long enjoyed prisoner and human organ shipping contracts with Corsairs. You have what we need, and we can get you what you want. This arrangement has always been benificial to both of us, and despite the OPG claims to have never seen a Union vessel in or around omega-5, we can assure that we operate within Corsair space daily. We can also assure you that the Slavers Union has never taken advatage of your hospitality by using your space to ship enemy goods. (Except in situations where the Corsairs are the buyers for said goods.)

Today one of our agents was traveling through the Omega-5 system when he encountered serveral Corsair transports. I will not waste time by reciting everything that was said, however the captain of a vessel registered as the [OPG-S]-Grimly made a very damaging off hand comment. He implied that the Slavers Union was only employed by the Outcast nation and that all of our actions benifit them alone. He also went on to suggest that our pressence was unwelcome in Omega-5.

We do not deny that we work freely with any group that is intrested in our services, which does include your Outcast enemies, but we are by no means the Outcast puppets. We are not taking kindly to the offhand suggestion that the Corsairs feel the need to cut us out of thier human markets. We are very dependant upon your Human Organ harvesting facilities on Etna, and the purchasing of your Prisoners has always been profitable for both of us. The loss of this source of these sources of revenue, and the ability to ship through corsair controled space to some of our other clients, would destroy the Union's current profits.

The OPS's comment could be taken many ways, but we choose to see it as warning to take some pre-emptive action. Right now all we are offering is words of warning about your brothers actions. Organizations like the Slavers Union, or the Junker Congress are middlemen, and like all middle men we do not take kindly to being removed. We wish to continue working with the Corsair nation as equally as we work with the Outcast nation, please do not force the Union into choosing a side in the Hispanic Wars. Despite what you may think, our organization would not enjoy becoming a slave to the outcasts whims.

Signed Michelle Hendrix, Union Boss

From Elder Sparta

Senors its unfortunate that your finding out that those who cross the lines of the Omegas are subject to our laws an philosophies. I can recall NO occasions when the slavers union has delivered ANYTHING of value to the OPG.

I am willing to enter into negotioations with you to correct this matter. We are not by nature always ready to shoot before we speak. In the case of the slavers union I am certainly willing to discuss how our organisations can be of benefit to one another. With regards to the Junkers Congress our relationship with them is as always very usefull and it is only a couple of junkers not affiliated with that organisation that is causing us problems by funding our enemies by using our space to transport their goods.

When a line is crossed you can expect us to address the issue. Some junkers have crossed the line.

I look forward to a diplomatic meeting with your organisation so that we can discuss our futures together.

Sparta.

Pirate King of the OPG
Elder of the council of corsairs.

Since Elder Sparta noted me about this message, I can answer appropriately now.
First thing I can say here is that going straight to elders without resolving, or trying to resolve issues with OPG leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but, since I have just plundered some luxury drinks from Brettonia, I'm quite satisfied with taste i'll have in my mouth later. We would like to hear our your offer when it comes to traversing trough Corsair space. I have heard some rumors that you want unconditional and undisturbed passage trough Corsair space. Let me tell you something, not even a Corsair enjoys those privileges, so neither will you, but when some concrete things are put on the table, we can discuss it further. We have no interest to reject your offers if they are good. We are in need of someone to haul away the prisoners of war or of our own nation, and all the scum we capture. Those that... tragically don't make it trough the interrogation we simply send over to Etna for a quick organ salvaging. Sounds too cruel? I guess it could, but not for a slaver. Offer things that could work for us, and we will respond in the same manner. Until then, consider your steps trough Corsair space twice, as you might get pirated unless you are bringing food. What is not a bad deal on its own, but I'm sure you'll want more.

The Slavers Union main concern is the saftey of our operations in the Omega sector. It was our previous assumption that Union and the Corsairs had a 'gentlemens agreement' where we would simply leave each alone. The more agressive tendecies of some Corsair groups is what prompted our letter to the council. The OPG are merly the most recent example.

We would like our vessels to remain undisturbed, but we have never expected that to come unconditionally. The Union has always maintained a policy against bringing Cardamine into, or shipping the Outcasts supplies via the Omega's. Also considering that we do not do buisness with the Hessians, the Union has never had reason to believe that Corsairs would find us unwelcome.

The Corsair nation is a major supplier of many goods that we specialize in transporting, and in return we provide the Corsairs with goods that we gain from transactions with groups you have nor formal relationship with, or that you consider to be enemies. The other Boss's and myself are at a loss to figure out what more you could want from us.

If you would be willing to meet, we can have an envoy at Cadiz within the standard week.

Me again. There seems to be a main misunderstanding with the.. Rest of the Sirius about who Corsairs are.
Spreading from Omicrons, to Omegas, Cambridge and Sigmas, Corsair nation is the biggest house in Sirius. Somehow people tend to forget that we're not petty pirates that intercept you in space, take your cargo and then run off before police arrives. Gentlemen, there's no police. We are the law in our space and we're taking from you what's ours.
Now, I do not know where did you hear that you can have a gentleman's agreement with the house of Corsair nation with no deals made and contracts. So I'll help you out. Gentleman's agreement with Corsair nation starts when a certain group or guild, or corporation desires to take something from Corsair nation by giving them something else. Since I know what are you after in Corsair nation, what do you want to take, then I want to know what do you want to give to us?
Will that be fertilizers, food rations, consumer goods, pharmaceutical products, mining machinery or maybe luxury food?
Waltzing in our space and "expecting" behavior is rather insulting, but we are a fair nation that sees opportunities at every corner, and we await your answer with open hands.
