PIRATES ARE NOT NICE.

Pirates have a gun. You have money. Don't pay, get shot. That's it. If your trader has no problems with exploding, then don't pay. As a person, I generally don't like exploding, but, I don't know how you live, so, if exploding isn't a big deal to you, don't pay. That's all I have to say to all traders. If you, as a human, don't mind exploding, go ahead and refuse to pay a pirate. That's all.

EDIT: Mind, this is assuming a pirate has the means to make you explode.
