Hi, for the past few days, my Freelancer Game has had a lag. Let me describe it- Every 5 - 10 seconds my screen will pause for about a second and then continue. It is nearly impossible to fight this way... I know it's not he internet because A) never has happened before B) Happens on the Main menu, and other screens.
I hope someone can tell me an easy fix to this - Thanks.
Does it happen in other games? If so it might be a graphics card problem.
Also, go Ctrl alt delete and switch to proccesses tab. Then clikc on 'user name'. Scroll down untill you see all your current processes and end any unimportant ones and background tasks on your user like MSM, Skype whatever. Some are important though, like explorer. This should free up your RAM and CPU a little bit and make games in general a wee bit faster.
I see this sometimes. For me, it's to do with my three screen setup - If I have windows open on my second or third screens it causes the game to "stutter" as I play (only Freelancer strangely though, things like TF2, Eve or Warcrack are fine). The solution was making sure everything on my secondary and tertiary screens are minimised before starting Freelancer.
Had the same problem when trying to hook SoftTH up to run FL over all three screens.

Yea, It runs the same process as usual, plus i am not sure why the graphics card would up and die...
' Wrote:Lag where the game freezes is due to a bad computer (I've been using one for days, which is why I've been sucky in combat).
Lag where the NPCs/players go everywhere is inernetlag..
Well, my internet has basically started failing the last few days, so naturally i am going to assume thats whats slowing the program down, and lagging it.
