I've just about had it with trading. Keep getting stuck on the lanes or pirated or too many trade lane disruptions. I just want to make credits fast now.

Can someone recommend me a good mining place? Is dublin gold good or are there better places? At dublin one gold piece I can sell for 500. Average maybe I can get 10 peices per rock I shoot so thats 5000 a shot, one shot every 2 seconds thats 2500 per second, wayyy below my predicted for trading

Any idea on where I can do some real mining (30mil+ an hour)?

Also, if anyone can PM me a good trade route, much appreciated. 30mil an hour+, no illegal stuff. not sure if universal can enter rhineland as we are supposed to be 'universal'. If possible, open space most of the time, as my beast has trouble navigating lanes and gates. If not any will do.

Lastly, are missions still profitable? Can I make 30 mil an hour outta em? :yahoo::crazy:

Thats all, thank you so much. Either reply or (preferably so no pirates can stalk me) pm.

Mining is most profitable when you're doing it in groups, a couple of miners filling a transport or 2, who then fly to a base where the goods are bought at a decent price.
Also, don't forget to make sure you you use a mining ship with lasers and that your ID/IFF matches the goods you want to mine.
As far as missions go, don't even bother, all missions are good for is repping at the moment.

Missions in gallia are great at almost one million payout for mission, but can only be done in a fighter due to bomber npc spam.

Devtonia ; all-or-nothing approach to bias.

Missions can be profitable...only if you take really high level ones, and have a large group assisting you.

Or go to Alpha and do the anti-cruiser ones in a dessie.

You can also take the pilots.. more specifically the GMG missions in Beta. Get a gunboat and the only things that the missions give you are low level fighters. Finish the mission for about 500k-600k I believe and take the pilots and sell them in Eta for a nice profit.

Edit: Those Osirises are naasty... if you are alone...err I mean they look awesome when comming straight at you. Epic

I advise you go to mining spots that aren't perhaps the most popular. There are still plenty of undisvovered mining spots because miners haven't taken it upon themselves to search. It's not always about the maximum profit p/u, if the yield is higher at a lower price. It may be more profitable in the long run. I'm currently contemplating moving my miner back to Pennsylvania for Helium which has an incredibly high yield.

But if i were you, if you want to keep it close to RP i'd stay away from:

Omega 49
Pennsylvania (Yes, I'm hypocritical)
Pittsburgh

Funnily enough, Dublin isn't that popular these days but is probably the most well known mining spot since v1.0.

Go discover.

Seriously. How do you think everyone else here learned all this stuff? They went out and found it themselves instead of wasting time expecting others to do it for them.
