This is the discussion thread for http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=49583

All discussion regarding the weekly battle events should be posted here. The pinned thread will serve to hold updates, rules on events, ship limitations, role-play information etc.

You should check the first page of that thread before turning up at events.

There are still two events scheduled - one on Saturday and one on Sunday.

All discussion should be civil and constructive. Any serious disagreements can be resolved in Skype.

Be sure to check the ship limitations. This was agreed by leaders of both BHG and Order factions.

One thing we'd like to hear more is how the story behind this war progresses, specifically how Omicron Lost might be developed.

Added it to the other event thread, now invisible. Thought we might keep the pinned thread as a record of how these events unfold. I'd appreciate if people could read the story so far, which I've tried to develop from the Guild side of things.

Ideas/suggestions?

As Athenian already knows (since it was his idea in the first place) and many of the Order| players may NOT know - the BHG|Core is a quasi-religious organization. Think Knights Templar rich and religious, along with being appropriately zealots as well. Those who have been initiated into their ranks consider it not just their job as hunters, but also their sworn duty to wrest control of Nomad Technology from what they see as the greedy hands of the Order.

Now - this doesn't mean the Order is greedy - far from it. The Order is actually self-sacrificing, because they are giving up their lives to defend humanity. But they want all Nomad technology, once the Nomads are defeated, to be destroyed. The BHG|Core wants to use that technology to improve their ships, their stations, and of course, their wealth. Actual BHG|Core pilots don't work for bounties - they are supported by their fabulously wealthy backers.

/\ - The above update is just to give some of you who don't realize it some of the background on both actual organizations.

IMO, the Order we know today never was and never will be part of the Order of Cincinnatus. They are two entirely separate organisations, one of which never made it out of alpha testing.

The Order was formed when Orillion defected with the Osiris, and not before.

Official faction leaders might have something different to say, however, so I leave it to them to make the final decision.

The Order might have more reason to defend Lost in the next update. Our new system has a link to Omicron Lost.

All the information posted is from the Wiki. The Order ain't my thang, so any changes to the story can be posted here by Order members.

The whole idea is to put some semblance of shape to the Order/BHG war.

Yeah, was a fun fight, especially when dash, ath and me were fighting the order fighters at the end, even if we only managed to kill one person D:

Epic fight amigos, and thanks for getting rid of most of the indies to make it a fair fight.
