Although not many use them, is it possible, and if so, should it be done, increase the number of hotkeys you can use to fire a weapon?

For example, a hotkey to fire weapon number 15 on your capital ship?

Yeah, there's a way.

You get really creative and buy a 30 button mouse or you program weapon groups. You sit there for 20 minutes in space and fire each one of your weapons and group them by let's say...

1. All Weapons
2. Port
3. Starboard
4. Fore
5. Aft
6. Ventral
7. Dorsal
8. Self-Destruct

No, the weapon mapping only goes up to weapon 10, as in vanilla you couldnt fit anything more than 10 weapons on a ship.

It might be doable, but when you use more than 10 guns, you are usually using weapons group.

And you can have 10 groups so..

Because weapons groups are complicated - and barely work for me, thats why I'm asking.

I mean, disco has put in a few commands, if I'm not wrong. Why can't we do some for these?

If I understand correctly, Discovery has not added any keys at all. We have only activated key functions that were previously unavailable.

Six different weapon groups should be enough for the limited weapon mounts on any vessel.
