What about a personal fighter with a normal ID?

All of our fighters are equipped with Guard IDs. We don't use Guard ID's simply as means of flying large ships.

Being a Zoner Guard is one of the key elements of our faction. We look at the ID from a Roleplaying perspective rather than a means of flying 5k ships.

Look at it another way, in order for ZTC members to rise in rank, they need to perform a complete reputational fix. This requires you to get a Zoner Guard ID, then fly to House territories and do missions there in order to get all of your guard rep neutral. It's OORP, but it is the only way we can make our reputation sheets the way we need them to be.

I roleplay that what I want. I brought stuff from House Planets to Freeports. Stuff from Freeports to Planets. To support the Freeports and the Planets. I doubt that the Zoners are somehow dumping their waste into Space, or produce their own Pharmaceuticals, Ship Hull Panels, H-Fuel or Synth-Paste. I was playing a Zoner as meant to be played, to be there to support our Freeports with Goods.
Sorry, but Zoners don't do this. They pay others to deliver to them in order to avoid entering the Houses.

Atka in Sigma 17 produces pharmaceuticals and has been open to zoners since vanilla and will continue to be so as long as I get a say in it.

Try using a Guard tag, with a standard ID. This should sort you out.

@BlueSpawn: IDs are a tool for roleplay. Roleplay isn't a tool of the IDs...

So that was my Zoners Roleplay. There is an Outcast who is blowing up Cardamine Transports, yet we dont have a "You don't shoot at Cardamine" in the Outcast ID.

If the Update had made only Zoner Guard restrictions, or only a nerfing in Zoner to Zoner trade routes, or only the elimination of the Niobium field in 49 (and the expansion of Gold minefield in Dublin) I wouldn't have complained.

But introducing all 3 of those elements at the same time is a significant blow to the Zoner player base. I would say it goes just a little too far. I would have rather that the developers introduced each element one update at a time because this is quite a heavy modification.

EDIT: Zoner players are still regular folks like everyone else. I understand that a lot of people are upset at the abuse that has been going on for quite a while. I never liked it either. But to make this kind of radical change so suddenly feels rather offensive, even if it was never meant to be.

Unfortunately, the Zoner player base needed that cut. Now the Zoners might be the hardcore roleplayers that play them like they should, instead of a bunch of sadly ignorant people treating them as the most powerful corporation in Sirius.
