But hunting down well-known criminals is np, on another hand. I mean the ones which are proven to have commited a crime in House of police in question.

Of course, partially I also agree with statement that only force works in independant worlds.
Yes, we wouldn't be in O-49 because Bretonia doesn't claim it (just Port Jackson). We are allowed to be there by our ID, but the RP doesn't fit the same way as Magellan and Omega-3 do.

ID has this: Can hunt pirates and terrorists within Bretonia and the Independent Systems directly surrounding Bretonia.
"Independent Systems"

Map has this: http://discoverygc.com/wiki/images/a/ab/...erymap.png
"Independent Worlds"

By my logic, Magellan and Cortez systems are Independent ones, while Omega-49 and Taus are Border World Systems

But that is just me trying to logically define how one can apply ZoI rules without clear definitions except for "House Space"

Fair enough, Omega-49 is an Edge world, so as I said we'd not be RPing law enforcement anyway.
The ID rules are unclear about many things, so players tend to go with what seems to make sense. For the BPA, that is sovereign territory of Bretonia and systems under our protection.

I want independent worlds to be independent.

Why?

Because the systems are set up as if they were independent and out of control for the Houses.

O3: Aland, Freeport 1... never has anything illegal happened there <coughs> And of course Bretonia would never care a bit about it. <irony>

O7: Freistadt in the center, only rephacked to Hessians to avoid the lolwut abuse and the QQ and sanctionlancing. Would Rheinland accept such a base in the middle of the trade lane IF that system belonged to Rheinland?

Magellan, FP4... Never was a Hacker supplied by it. <sarcasm>
...
...

Independent worlds are the Wild West.
They only make sense, if there is no law or only very little.
These systems have unique setups of factions, semi-legal, to help make the systems dangerous, shady, beyond control.

Claims to it, Military presence, Police law and all that makes these systems look totally ridiculous and unrealistic.

That refers to the IW, BW and EW systems that are not directly governed by a house or faction. Guard systems are governed by the factions that own them and are not indepedent.

Omega-3 is independent but Bretonia has writ over it. Omega-49 is independent and Bretonia has writ over it too, but does not exercise it. There was a time when Bretonia did try to provide protection and lawful cover but it's essentially abandoned now.

Says who? Or is that your opinion that you are representing as it was a fact?

I disagree with you completely. Trade convoys pass through these systems and need protection. Also, Kruger and DHC have bases in O7 and need protection (same in theory for O3 and BMM). Those factions dont have the equipment to go toe-to-toe with the unlawful factions like Hessians and Corsairs, so police and military protection is their only option. Give them civilian caps and we wont need police military at all.

How is it that the loudest voices in here are crying out for something that goes directly against human nature?

Expansionism, greed, taking more than you need; all these things are a part of what we are, and since we are all a part of factions and nations (FL and RL, respectively), these organisations are also expansionist and greedy.

Honestly, a form of life that doesn't want to expand? I dont think that's ever existed in the history of this planet.

You know what I think? I think that if you want these systems to be independent and to stay independent, you fight for that goal. Don't expect to win though - big countries swallow small ones.

Bearing this in mind, I think all of you supporting the notion of enforcing independence through rules are trying to get the easy way out of a constant struggle that defines life in all its forms, not just humanity.

Shame, that even if you get your wish here, you'll always have people coercing you and violating your "freedom".
