As an ANZlagger I am subject to ping times in excess of 600 for extended periods. Nothing can fix this, because of the simple distance between me and the server.

Yet I still manage to play and enjoy myself here. Albeit whilst avoiding any pvp-ness beyond defending myself (which itself is quite lulzy. What is lag? Ping? How can I reset my connection? Is that a euphemism for something? What the hell mate?)

And, as a povo tertiary student, I still managed to buy myself a computer capable of running Freelancer a hundred times side-by-side. It only cost me $400. And that's a lot for me since I am paid about the same *per month*.

Don't bitch about lag unless you're Australian and thus have an excuse.
Don't bitch about a ****ty computer. Buy a new one. It's not expensive at all. Go mow people's lawns for some pocket money.

Go onto www.speedtest.net, perform a test and post the results here. So we can see whether or not it's your connection that's causing this.

methinks your priorities are abit screwed kiddo.

If we were to equate all the things Cannon has already done to improve things for everyone on the server, it would equate to in RL achieving worldwide Utopian peace & conquering death itself by him changing a line of code in said reality & allowing puppies to stay puppies forever.

So, you can either

A) Deal with it for the time being assuming it's just a temporary connectivity issue
B) Get a job, then check with your service provider & maybe pay more money per month for more bandwidth or...
C) Demand that your family pull up stakes & move closer to the server for the lower ping in order to make you happy
