Mining Help

So someone said I should mine a bit to get some capital for trading. And I mean monetary capital, before you all start freaking:P

My first thought was 'Great, sounds low risk, which is great because of my crappy internet!'

My second was 'Wait, I have no idea how to do that.'

So I need the lowdown on mining.

What I need, how to do it, good places to do so out of the box. (After Character Creation)

Sorry if I missed a thread on this somewhere, but my half assed look turned up nothing.

Thanks in advance. (And probably after XD)

you shoot the rocks and mines come out. For other things, you need to read the mining guide and see what all do you need to gain bonuses. but it is really easy, find the spot, shoot, tractor in the cargo

well it depends man. For example, it says that mollies recieve (or it doesn't yet, but it will) bonuses for mining in doublin. Mining gold in doublin that is.

so you need to go to golden asteroid field and shoot the debris.
in the omega 3, you have ice fields, and you have hydrocarbon fields.
depends on what do you have bonus on, or what do you need, you'll get the cargo.

example: you shoot a water rock, water loot comes out.
you shoot a hydrocarbon one, unrefined hydrocarbon ore falls out
you shoot a gold one, gold falls out.
you have to find out witch one is where.

For beginners, the field that is recommended is the helium field in pennsylvania, its the nice blue one.

Many recommend the pittsburgh mining field, althoug that since the update, I dont know exactly what happened with it.

Personally I recommend the vanilla copper field in Colorado - especially if you want to pop a few Xenos and Lane hackers in the process. It's slow going, but the stuff sells for 8k a piece if you haul it down to the planet in Texas - that's 1,800,000 credits for a Rhino full of the stuff which at that point in your career is rather a nice little windfall.

You serious? If you are, I love you (in a completely non-intimate way).

Retired, permanently.

Shoot rocks, press B, sell on base where the price is high.

Oh, also you'll need the proper tags, ID, ship, etc...

Oh, and another miner buddy and someone in a transport to move the cargo with the current system.

Have fun.

A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.
