' Wrote:I guess Power-Pirating would be getting a group of people in a high traffic system, and putting one person on every lane and pirate the same trader repeatedly.
Done that. My friend was pirating a guy between Shikoku and New Tokyo, and he was paying but being snarky.
He told me the guy's cargo, and where he was probably going, 2 trade lanes later I was there with another demand ready. Heh.

That is just mean. Dont do that. Like, honestly.
I thought about making a two-men-pirate-team on my soon being created generic pirate.
One scouts a lane ahead whilst scanning passing peoples cargo, and the other being behind can drop out of the lane, disrupt said lane and get the trader.
That would actually raise my profit amount probably even when I need here to share the money with an other player.
But you cant imagine how many traders escape me just because I dropped out of the lane, disrupted it, but wasnt fast enough and the trader had already passed. Gosh, money flies away, thats not nice.

Give me please an other term to work with, when 'Powertrader' is too repulsive.
Non-roleplaying trader.
Or someone that won't play his role.
It's not that hard to figure out a term that does not degenerate into a swear word within a few days.
When we get to choose between "cripple", "disabled" and "physically challenged" - let's go for the middle one, shall we?
Non-Roleplaying-Trader? So a Non-Roleplayer, short NRP? I may also just refer to those as NPC's, as they mostly behave nearly exactly like them?
Every term -can- degenerate into a swear word even within minutes after being said the first time. So its kind of hard to avoid this, except by not calling said persons anything.
But if I cant call persons something, how shall I talk then about them?
We can agree on the fact though, less hatred and more good.
Why, as a pirate, do you use lanes to get around, that is NOT role play, lanes and gates should have access denied to unlawfuls.
If it takes a miner 100 minutes to fill a transport, and another 20 minutes for that ship to get to a selling point, and the cargo is valued at 60 million, shared between the miner and trader is only only 30 million which equates to 30 million / hour or 5 million / 10 minutes.
If you make 120 million in 70 minutes, that equates to 17.14 million / 10 minutes, by the maths, you're making more than both the miner and trader combined.
If you destroy all the cargo, the miner and trader make nothing, yet you still made 120 million.

You read please the opening post, there is an edit where I wrote that I dont demand 10mill of miners and their haulers. I also dont see a need to ask for all the ore, if you dont have Gold ore from Dublin or other ore that isnt destinated somewhere in Kusari and/or you arent a Samura employee (depending on what character I play at that moment).
And since when are lanes now a NoGo?
You want all the pirates to fly all the ways through open space, so you traders can easily use the lanes to your own pleasure, forcing us pirates to camp single spots, which I already said I dont do?
You can hack those lanes, you know? I know people that are doing that, me nowadays included.
And its nice to hear that using lanes as a pirate is not RP. How shall pirating then done? Enlighten me with your wisdom on that, I would honestly be interested to know about this.
Nah, Iam looking for a name for it, to generalize a bit more, as we have special words for various types of people.
I also would like to know what people think of people that pirate the way I do.
One point was raised now that using the tradelanes should be a No. Others disagreed already.
We heard that we shouldnt use such 'generalizations', and also some pirating tactics others use.
In all, Iam gathering informations. And still look for a name.
