The question is a simple one:
Should the Nomads (NPC faction) have an open membership that does not restrict the use of roleplay with a Nomad ID by a Player faction?
Clarification: In essense, do you want the Nomad faction to have free access like most other factions do. The question is a generic one. If you have something between a "yes" and a "no," chose "Other."

This is a survey thread. I am trying to get a feel for the community's opinion on the matter.

You can post your voting results ("I voted yes") and if you selected "Other" you can explain what it is. You can also explain your position on the matter. However:

Do not argue the subject or issue rebuttals to other people. You can explain your point of view once, but you cannot reply to other people's statements or address their arguements. I do not want this thread to get closed due to flames.
This is merely a survey.

No, because the Nomads are united as a whole, and there are no ''independent'' nomads, something that would occur if that ID would be an open ID.

Besides, there is a Nomad ID: Nomad trial.

Anyway, no, never! It's the closeness that gives the magic to the Nomads. They are something spooky, misterious etc etc.

No, I agree that it shouldn't happen, having Nommie stuff in the wrong hands can be a bit disastrous.
I once considered the idea of using a flame thrower to hunt for turkey. Figure maybe I can get the bird and cook it too. But as I thought of it more I realized that aside from the surrounding forest becomg charred ruins the phosphor from the flame thrower would greatly spoil the meat of the turkey.
Point is, if you give powerful tools to noobs, they'll find all the creative ways to misuse them and cause havoc in the surrounding area.

No. Nomads ships and weapons are overpowered because they are restricted. If everyone can have uberships and stuff, it will be the end of Disco.
