Yes I searched, and it picked up no keywords...

How do I hack the files of my freelancer to change the tint of the HUD from blue to say... purple? or red?

Just summit other than that boring old blue...

I know it's possible, I have seen it once or twice... Just never though to ask.

So, give me files to replace mine? Tutor me?

Please?

Copy the INTERFACE folder to another directory on your hdd. Then delete everything from the copied directory thats not a CMP or 3DB file. Best thing to do is keep the folder structures in tact. So everything that was in HUD folder stays in HUD folder and everything in NAVMAP folder stays in the NAVMAP folder and so on. That just makes life easier when you come to rebuilding the files. Then use this.

It will extract all the TGA files from the CMPs. Its not hard to use im sure you will figure it out. Be aware though, there's 650 textures all in for the HUD and related things. You will have to edit them with photoshop or somthing.

Grab the UTF editor and start extracting TGAs from CMP or 3DB files. Good luck.

Retired, permanently.

It is I believe. I've seen tons of people using modded HUDs here, and Cannon's -nohud likely is a modded HUD as well. And it does not really give you an unfair advantage either, it's just visuals, nothing more.

Modifying in-game UIs have shown to be against the online EULA, because it CAN give you an unfair advantage (changing targeting reticules and other things like that) and can be a bannable offense in pretty much every single MMO.

EVE Online is a prime example. Modified UIs are against the EULA.

Actually, no it's not.

• Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, and Disassembly. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.

That's the only thing I see.

EDIT: Also, that entire sentence makes absolutely no sense. Damn lawyers.
