Admin Notice: How to create your own infocard

Read the above. It can't be in roleplay in most of the cases.
For example I'll take my Antonio.Devivar[101st] Most likely only corsairs and selected few outcasts knows it's story. becouse in rp he might be announced as traitor and so. Other characters of 3th parties not even should know it. Therefor reading infro card and putting it in use as IMG character is pure metagaming.

Now to be seriuos.

I don't see how this can be in-rp, nor they should be treated in rp (but can be).

why?

Simple. Your character who is not awere of srp character or so, shouldn't know who he is and what he does. YOu may know it as a player, but not a character. Reading character stories as player and uptting it in use as character most likely is matagaming.
Huh. Well this is what I wanted to say.

I thought the same thing when this started in wow.
The idea as I see it is as follows.
When you hail an NPC you get a small pic display as well as normal talking.
you can use this as a way of writing that physical description or add parts to your voice. Such as my molly is a heavily bearded red head man.
Also things like ages etc etc etc.
I wouldn't post an entire backstory in there as it would defeat the purpose. We have enough issues with lolwuts going "you smuggler, you have ID" or "you pirate, you have ID". Can you imagine if the lolwuts decided to RP as physic people who "can read your mind" and use trash like that against you? ergh.........

You can also use it to put in "current mood".
You can also put in parts to describe your ship if there are distinctive parts.

you -could- use it for some other type enhancements though. Putting in something along like what zoey sakura allows people around you to understand why there is a kusari woman running around bashing people. Alot of the time people just see an ID and expect you to RP an NPC.. ergh...

You could post rumors about your character if you feel he warrants being important enough. Something to "break the RP Ice" as such. "Its rumored the pilot flies with a huge stuffed bear" gives you an RP in that I am giving to you or allowing you to know.

you can also put in things like //not interested in RPing stupid stuff like XYZ ABC for UVW reason.

anyhow, those are my thoughts on it.

You could also not make a infocard if you don't want other to know anything about the character.

But for factions placing rank and role into this is very useful.
Also the rumor idea is a good one.

I have put a small part char backgrounds motivation of why they are in the group and something like 'some say he knows how to fly' although thats a lie ^^ sometimes.

For people who have problems with words sticking on each other do the following:

Example:
/setinfo 1 a He likes beer.
/setinfo 1 a Could be drunk watch out.

Shows as:
He likes beer.Could be drunk watch out.

Example how to split it:
/setinfo 1 a He likes beer
/setinfo 1 a . Could be drunk watch out.

Shows as:
He likes beer. Could be drunk watch out.

Is it possible to use Bold, Colored, Italic, etc. Text for what we write (Like some infocards that have a big red "Warning" or "High Security" in them and so on) or does this command only work with plain text and no possible coding?

Whooops. I fell so sorry for the persons with Infocards.

I wrote in my Infocard, Technical Details with my Codenames.

Basic Missile Launcher is now Staurus Missile Launcher.
