I tried to help my friend running FL on his Vista PC, and he was trying to run it too, but even following the tutorials we couldn't get his PC to run FL on multiplayer, just single-player.

He claims that:

Quote:when I click multilayer a "timer" starts
when it's up it crashes
theres no timer
it just how long until the crash
I got up to character creation once
but it crashed immediately

He installed FL into Program Files but he has UAC turned off

I am pretty sure he followed all the steps correctly.

We even tried many tutorials, but no sucess...

I put his DxDiag in an attachment. Hope someone can help us so we can play together :)

My brother had the same problem, what your friend needs to do is to upgrade to SP3.

But I would suggest to upgrade to Windows 7 or go back to XP instead as Vista is crap.

Oh right, sorry then. My brother had a similar problem and I upgraded the SP then, which obviously leads to the conclusion that it's not the same problem your friend got since he got the latest SP..

Has he tried launching it in Compatibility mode?
