Mining Ships=Transports

Yes, you can attack them, if I understand what you're asking.

However, if I don't, which is more likely, then ask someone else.

Frankly they want to hide behind a miner ID we can make sure they get the full treatment. You keep dying till you stop pirating. Period.

Any disagreement anyone?

No,no disagreement from me.
In fact,I had a Pirate try to get my little 140 units of silver that I worked hard for.
In the end,he paid me to let him live.
Power to the little people.

another idea is to station bombers around destination (narita outpost)...... only people mining would be allowed to dock. Get an ok from mining mafia in pennsylvania before they leave pensyvania so the bombers at narita are expecting them. rest are killed. If they dock, dont let em leave.....

Also thay ask for cargo, put em on kos list collectable by all. one credit. I am sure bombers in the area would love to collect their bounty.

The respawn thing applies to traders and miners, not transports. This was addressed when Junker Salvagers were pirating and coming right back. So you can kill them and then they have to head out like any other pirate.

Honestly, it's no worse than getting pirated by a PTrans (which, admittedly, is very difficult to get out of). Some people pimp out their ships, some don't. Bring escorts, pay them off, the usual. Killing them does remove them, so just send your escorts ahead if you're worried you'll get killed before your escorts total them.

How exactly would that fit into RP? Especially in Kusari space for example where things are extremely tightly controlled and they are generally unwelcoming or suspicious of outsiders. Having a group of Miner bombers waiting acting as the guardians for the station killing off anyone not cleared? I don't think the Kusari Navy or Police would stand for any organization like this. Bounty hunters aren't even allowed past Deshima, why would they allow a "Miner Mafia" as you so put to carry out these kinds of operations? I am quite sure these individuals would be either jailed, expelled, or shot out of Kusari space. No one likes robbers and no one wants to look outside their window to bits and pieces of ships that have been blown up. House space is supposed to be well regulated, secure, and boring. Not the wild west

These new miner pirates, are essentially the same as old pirates, they just use hegemon ships which...are huge slow big easy targets for bombers IMO but regardless pirates are bad for House Space. An honest miner (Indie miner or corporation one, doesnt matter) gets held up and has his hold emptied. What would you do if you were in that situation? Call the nearest Police / Navy ship and explain what happened. Get someone to chase after those pirates and stop menace to society. If you are tired of the bureaucracy of dealing with the Law, hire a bounty hunter or merc to hunt the pirates down or serve as your escort.

I am thinking about making a Vigilante character hunt for evil miners in Liberty. Make people's lives easier.

I hace Liner with CAU VI, but I saw peoples with CAU VII and CAU VIII.

Liner have big armor and a lot of guns.

GB without armor or with small armor would be very scared:D

Excuse me ? I am talking about using a squadrom of bombers primed to primarily hunt these lolwhut miners the moment they log in. KOS. end of story. Till they change their ways. Figure out where they dock and wait for them to respawn and come out. They have two choices... change to a pirate ID or stop doing mining. They are stretching rules..... and we should be allowed to do the same. Get a list of all the Cargo askers... make a forum topic and put their name in there....once you see them log in. Wait for them to appear. Give attack notice and Kaboom. I do want to hear what admins have to say about that.

It's never worked in the past. Besides, these mining pirates aren't breaking the rules, as much as you dislike what they're doing.

Who says it has to be miner mafia?
Though remember m8, where there is money ther eis organized crime.
RP wise Miners could fuel the Kusari war machine against the Bretonian secretly for this favor.
The amount of money a miner can generate, he can buy off two or three KNF bombers to cover narita. If the guys name is in the list of cargo askers.... make sure they hit him on sight and hit him hard. and if he docks, thats the end of his day, until he returns the loot or the money back. Frankly KNF are lawfuls and they can hunt these pirates.

FYI I play a merc and have seen these "miners" gang up on transports to loot em and kill them...yes.... destory the ship after looting....Iand I am available for hire.
