'MEGALODON' Liberty carrier

Hi guys,

I have seen quite a few models for the Liberty carrier, without a shadow of doubt, well designed including the current model but still somewhere I feel it needs to moulded and re-designed to something new....something thats cool, fearsome and awesome. What you are about to see is my perception of the Liberty carrier.

It is a humble attempt from my end to overcome the challenges and obstacles of designing the Liberty Carrier


THE 'MEGALODON' LIBERTY CARRIER

The outcome of a joint LSF and Liberty Navy millitary research project, a secret weapon that Liberty hides from its common citizens, to be deployed when the call comes. Built secretly in Juneau Shipyard in Alaska by top profile Liberty engineers working overtime for years, the Megalodon is a mighty force, feared even by the order and the corsairs. Its millitary prowess far surpassing the old Liberty dreadnought and its tactical capability of carrying dozens of upholders and guardians within its built-in fighter bay makes it one of the most fearsome carriers Sirius has ever seen. Most people believe the Megalodon to be a millitary 'decorated' rumour. And those who crossed paths with this beast, didnt live to tell their story.

.........is this a carrier? where do the fighters come from?
i dont see any launch tubes or landing bays.

In what universe does that look even vaguely Liberty-ish? Or even Freelancer-ish?

oh, but the spyglass or the ranseur do look freelancer-ish ?

i like this design, very well made, torvette.
would be interesting to have it in the mod, cos i dont like the current liberty carrier.

i think the fighters will be launched from the front, right in the middle.
on the third pic, one can see a small grey area, maybe out from there

thats the only launch tube?
isnt that a bit wrong as milatary ships
would want to launch all their fighters at once.

The only thing that looks vaguely Liberty, let alone freelancer-ish is the engine. The front reminds me of the horrible starwars imports, like the old LABC and the OC zeppelin

Not that i dont like the modle, its a nice starship,
But it looks nothing like liberty, or Freelancer for that.

Thought Megalodon was the name of the li-transport...

But yeah, I'm already working on a third carrier... though I do love this ship. Except its engines... unfortunately, it doesn'T feel libertonian.

Just because something doesn't look Freelancerish doesn't mean make more that doesn't. We're replacing those models with Freelancer ones when we can. Don't make more for us to replace.
